I have been looking at purchasing some swivels from worth i can buy the swivels without the split ring for half the price they are with the split rings. Which is the best way to go here are they that much trouble to put on?

Keep in mind I havent been doing this very long but I haven't noticed any yellowing yet of any of the lures. but the working time is a pain in my ------ for sure.. I have been looking for the 30min epoxy but all I can find around here where I live is the 5min.. So I guess I will wind up having to order some from somewhere. Couple problems here. First of all I'm pouring 2 different style's of spinners baits Bullet Spinner Jig-SGB Series and Ultra Minnow Spinner Jig I am setup to use either createx air brush paint or powder paint. Ok now first of all it seems that powder paint is the way to go simply because of the durability of it ,problem is I cannot seem to get the detail I want with powder paint I have looked at all the videos I could find. Secondly when I airbrush with createx the durability goes to pot even tho I clear coat them with devcon 5 minute epoxy. My process for painting and applying epoxy is this. After airbrushing with createx I will usually wait 6-8 hours before applying the epoxy then after I apply the epoxy I wait 24 hours before handling the bait.. But the durability just isnt what it needs to be. Tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

Question for you guys.. My first set of baits I made I used Sampo ball bearing swivels they seem to be great swivels but pricy too so I'm looking to cut cost some but without sacrificing to much quality what do you guys think about the EAGLE CLAW ballbearing interlocking swivle I can buy those all day long at .46 per? Hello all, I had just recently started making my own baits and I have a few questions for some experienced makers. First of all is old wheel weight lead ok to use for making spinners and buzzbaits? My first purchase was lead for janesnetcraft and it worked fine but I do have acces to plenty of wheel weight lead if that is ok to use. Also I purchased a paasche vl dual action airbruse set and have painted with createx using opaque white or black as my base coat and paint over with the fluorescent color line. finishing of the lure with a dual coat epoxy finish. My lures so far seems to not be durable enough they still seem to be chipping paint to easily. Am I doing this correctly should i be sanding down the lures after i have poured them? any help would be much appreciated thanks much in advance.. Brad
