Very sory, to hear that. I wish you both the best! Definitely watch out for the sun! Both of my parents had bouts with skin cancer, brain cancer took my mother. My dad still wears long sleeve shirts and hats when outdoors.

I remember those things back when I was a kid. My brother got a set for his birthday in '64 or '65, not sure exactly. I bought a bunch ot those molds off eBay and would hand pour things for my grandson. Actually didn't think to use them for fishing up here, of course my mind to work as fast as it used to either. I remember my youngest brother getting the Incredible Edibles, too!

My name is Bryson, 54 years old. I live in Eagle River Alaska with my Wife, 4 children grown and on their way, 4 grandchildren so far. Retired from Submarines and currently supply the tech equipment for the Alaska Court System until I retire in June 2014. I taught myself flytying way back in the late '70s and was fishing and losing lures rapidly up here and a buddy says " you tie flies don't you?" "I said yes" and he says "Why don't learn to make lures?" and so that began the descent into another hobby. I am very willing to share what knowledge I have, especially since this site has helped me to learn so much! I haven't quite found my niche yet, whether it be plastic, wire or hard lures, so I am dabbling a little in each but I am willing to try anything.

Like RAW said, I like the Plano type boxes and other makes of organizer boxes for various parts. For the smallest parts; split rings, clevises, etc., I use some of the drawer organizers. Same thing, label each compartment with item, size, color, make, model and to make it easier on me, I attach 1 item on the face of the drawer with hot glue so I can see at an instant what is in each one. Oh, and I like to include where I purchased from also. Truth be told, i got the ideas from my wife and oldest daughter on how they manage and organize their crafting stuff.

Like others have said; I don't don't make baits to save money but to have fun tweaking them and experimenting. I only do so for me and the immediate family and so I don't need perfect baits, whether it be bo open pour plastic, hand carved wood or twisted metal. It is the same reason i brew my own beer, make my own cider, mead and wine. or even reload ammo but not all at the same time.

This is, to me, the most informative and friendly site out there. I like the search function and love the tutorials!
