  7. Good idea! I have a few too! I don't know if you have seen any of my baits, I feel I have a long way to go! It just makes that journey seem alot longer when you have to deal with this kind of stuff. That''s learning and you can never stop that!

  10. That may be part of my problem too!
  11. Could it be the winter cold dry air contributing to the drying on the tip. I have been ammonia free windex and also water! It's really been a little frustrating ,because I always happens at the worst time ! I may get a humidifier and run it while painting ! Am I really off the wall with this thought?......Virginia !
  12. Looking for any suggestions as an alternative to Iwata superlube! I don't want to have to order a 7 dollar item and pay 5 dollars shipping! My paint is drying on the tip of my brush very quickly! I don't know there may even be an additive like floetroll to slow down how quickly the paint dries! Any suggestions?
  13. Most of the time the Strike King eyes come right out! Anybody have any idea what they clear coat with ? It made the eyes hard as a rock!
  14. Update! I bought a dremel tool and used a #117 engraving bit and cleaned that eye socket out nicely and sanded around the edge of it with 220 grit sand paper. Then painted the 2.5! May call it Disco bluegill maybe! Thank all of you for your feedback!
  15. I buy from them too! No issues except out of stock items! I have e-mailed Matt and he has always answered fairly quickly!
  16. Maybe check out the Iwata eclipse ! You can get the kit from hobby lobby and use the 40%off coupon found on there site! I love mine !
  17. Thanks Ben that sounds like a plan
  18. Thanks guys! This particular bait the eyes were hard! I couldn't even get the top to separate from the bottom exposing the pupil ! I like all of our ideas and will employ them! Gonna try a different bait tonight and put this one on back burner! I will post the finished 2.5 in the gallery in a couple days! Thanks again! P.S What do you think about using a dremel with an engraving bit to get the hard to extract eyes out?
  19. Had a pretty frustrating night! Tried to pop the eyes out of strike king 2.5 and butchered the eye cavities! Curious if anyone else has a solution to getting the eyes out other than a hobby knife! I'm sorry that I didn't state that previously ! I mangled the 2.5 .I appreciate your responses ,solutions and any others comments!
  20. Does anyone have any tricks on getting to eyes out of repaints?

I have been looking at doing the same thing! I don't see a lot of members doing this on smaller baits. I have stencil cut out and am thinking about trying it out on a spro dd!
