  1. Also used as a stabilizer in some formulas
  2. If there is anything you are wanting from him take a look at LureCrafts in house aluminum molds, they are making a LOT of his molds themselves, if not they may actually sell his molds.
  3. Not sure how close it is but should be close. http://www.shopbaitjunkys.com/Fat-TW-worm-5-Cavity-_p_726.html
  4. You were VERY VERY lucky. Do some digging online.
  5. It is for a 6" bait too (same price Del charges)
  6. Because no matter what you do, a fully molded tube will never have the look or action that a cut tube does. Been there and done that, I'm currently able to cut 500 - 800 tubes per hour. Wouldn't exactly call it a pain in the butt. So many on here take so much time to create amazing looking baits, injecting a bait 2-3 times for crazy laminates, adding eyes, painting then dipping and yet some of those same people (not directing this at you DaBehr) scoff at the notion of having to cut the tails on a tube. I said the same thing once and here I am sitting and cutting 2000-3000 at a time.
  7. Good luck getting it if you order one. *edit* LureCraft has they're own CL Chigger mold. http://www.lurecraft.com/6-CL-Mold-Alum-1-Cav-2-Pc-Injection/productinfo/5XLU%2D17217/
  8. As long as you understand that you still need to cut the tails after they are a great mold, best tube molds going (I've owned them all at one point or another)
  9. Exactly. His name isn't Del LMAO (I believe I have been waiting for 2 molds since spring 2009, still haven't received em)
  10. 2400 watts at 110v is 21.8 amps, at 240v its only 10 amps. So I am guessing you would need to supply the transformer a 10 amp 240v circuit ignored for it to supply the pots with 2400 watts of power at 110v.
  11. DONT grind it. Use the finest salt you can find. If you grind it it will wash your colours out bad and clump on you.
  12. KVD Magic is most definitely a laminate, Have 13 bags of the dream shots hanging in my store, they're all laminates. It can be tough to see the laminate but it is one. The picture above is the dream shot in KVD Magic and you can see the second (pearl silver) Here is a pic of the same colour in their half shell, being a poured bait you see the 2 colours easier. All of their baits (except their tubes) are made by the same manufacturer so the colours will be the same.
  13. Sure looks like there are pics included for every colour. http://www.pouryourownworms.com/2oz-Liquid-Plastic-Color-With-Picture_c22.htm?page=all
  14. ummmmm. There isn't fluorescent blue in there. It's watermelon/light blue flake and a silver pearl belly. Spike It Watermelon 101 should be real close to the back colour and they also have the Silver Pearl powder.
  15. Just a watermelon/light blue with a silver pearl belly.
  16. try a want ad in the classifieds
  17. If you won't post a picture to show what you are trying to achieve, how do you expect someone to help? Why not just shoot the person that made the baits a message asking their technique?
  18. Flow Pencil and Spike It's Dotting VPI paint. do it after the bait comes out of the mold. DO NOT paint the mold. https://www.ispikeit.com/Store/p-621-paasche-flow-pencil.aspx https://www.ispikeit.com/Store/p-586-black-dotting-5322.aspx
  19. Right here. Single cavity top or side inject is the only way you can do this. There are large multi cavity production molds that are capable of laminating belly/back with the cavities on their sides but the runner system is rather nuts, and they aren't without their own set of problems (I also imagine they are far more expensive than standard production molds as well)
  20. There are chemicals released as you heat the plastisol, there are a whole lot of nasty chemicals released when you burn it. All of which a particulate filter will not touch. Get a mask, have it fitted and run the right filters, ones health isn't worth gambling with.
  21. As a composite repair technician what is the required filter for Chlorine Dioxide?
  22. Ensuring that the mask is fitted and working properly is the sole responsibility of the person buying it and using it, not the person suggesting it. You recommended a particulate respirator to filter vapours. As posted, you will want an organic vapour cartridge, such as the 3M 6006 cartridge, which would be sufficient most likely for lead as well
  23. What is your idea of an injection machine, only reason I ask is there seem to be a lot of people here that don't understand how big of an investment a real injection machine actually is.
  24. exactly what was posted before me, you need to make sure your temperatures of both colours are as close to each other as you can (it actually has more to do with viscosity which can vary with different colours, but for small batches by hand getting the colours as close as possible is best) If you are not measuring the temperature of your plastic then you really don't even know 100% if your plastic is at the right temp/over cooked to begin with, the first thing i would do is get a good infrared thermometer and take the temp as you stir. You will find real quick that just because you cook the same amount of plastic in the same micro for the same amount of time it won't guarantee that they are the same temperature.
