    Ultra Molds

Same here. Never had a problem contacting for anything. Also have 2 SS systems in the shop.
  2. Sure it does I am buying in bulk from the exact same supplier. Red, Kelly Green, Grape, Gold all curl. Black, Silver, Silver Holo and Orange don't. It's not that it's a horrible thing, it is a great quality flake. There is very little that I have come across that won't curl. MF, Bear's, certain one's from LC, Spike-It etc. they are all very similar and certain ones will have a tendency to curl on you, some are better when you back off the heat, others there is nothing you can do. They do hold their colours very well though.
  3. 4 - 4.5" Full Round Finesse Worm molds 3 - 6" Full Round Finesse Worm molds Both sets of molds are the hinged from Bear's Baits/Ultra Molds. They both shoot great baits just no longer have a use for them Selling all as a lot.
  4. Go hit up your local sign shop that prints vinyl. See what the cost is to have stickers designed, printed and cut to fit the bag. You could have them made glossy so they look real good. Stick them to the bag as your label. If you look at the Jackall soft baits they have one single bag design and add a label like this to each different bait. It looks real good
  5. 4.5" mold http://www.basstackle.com/172_Drop_Shot_Worm_p/172-kj-8.htm Just shy of a 6" mold http://www.basstackle.com/156_Drop_Shot_Worm_p/156-1-8.htm 4.5" Gated 2 colour mold (different coloured tails) http://www.btsmolds.com/worms/45-injection-worm-2-color 6" Gated 2 colour mold http://www.btsmolds.com/worms/6-injection-worm-2-color 5.75" flat sided mold http://www.btsmolds.com/worms/155-drop-shot-worm
  6. All of the lead molds are sand cast.
  7. You're either orienting the injector wrong and need to spin it 90 degrees or there is too much of a temperature difference between the 2 pots. With the presto pots you cannot go by the temperature setting on the pots, you have to actually check the plastic temp
  8. A drop of black will take care of that
  9. Hmmmmmm, I wen through somewhere around 30 drums of soft, meduim and hard over the years (combined, not each) and have NEVER experienced any of this. Only ever had one drum come in that bubbled bad that came from a bad batch, every drum after was fine. found it VERY stable with heat as well.
  10. Shooting Star, Presto Pots etc.
  11. Define production machine? are you talking a simple pot setup to remain hand made or are you talking full blown $40K - $65K Zorn production machine?
  12. Kind of goes against everything I have ever been told from several supplying the production end of the business and against everything I have learned with my own molds. I have always been told when it comes to soft plastic you cannot vent the mold too much. Every one of my molds (all my own customs from a few different machinists) are all vented every 1/4" - 3/8" starting at the gate right to the end of the bait. Every one of these molds all shoot flawless and effortless, including a 16 cavity 5" stick bait mold that will produce as near perfect baits as you can get (8-10 with dents for 1000 made) http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/19762-to-many-vents/?hl=%2Bcarolinamike+%2Bvents#entry147809 Post #9 from CarolinaMike shows a prototype hand injection mold from Zorn Molds (they make the injection machines and large production molds) That is a well vented mold
  13. Lots of metals can actually be microwaved. Aluminum used to make divided pyrex cups for hand pouring laminates and swirls is one that comes to mind that I myself have used quite extensively in the past. And another, Del used to sell aluminum glitter, weren't many problems with it, I've used quite a bit of it in the past as well. An as I have said, I have in the past had Poly glitter spark in the micro.
  14. It stated that its a .4mm glitter, not a powder and it looks more coarse than the powders. might be worth a shot
  15. you only need to let them sit for 20 - 25 minutes if you are using a DINP based scent, the baits will absorb it quite fast.
  16. The picture Monte posted is not a hand injected bait, there is no hand injection mold. Those baits are purchased in bulk (by the 1000's) from a large production company. They are made on a very large injection machine just like the ones Carolina Mike used. This mold will get you the closest I have seen. It will also allow you to shoot multi cavity laminates including 3 colour laminates with the new BT 3 colour injector.
  17. Why not? It isn't metal that causes all the problems with microwaves, it is very shiny reflective surfaces. I have actually had poly glitter arc in the micro
  18. They own Big Bite Baits from my understanding and also they make for a ton of other companies as well. D&J These are made on a large injection machine and they shoot 3 colours at once with a VERY large mold. You could either do this by injecting the belly with a laminate plate/pouring the belly colour and then injecting the middle and back with a laminate injector or you could inject all 3 colours at once with the Bass Tackle 3 colour injector.
  19. It's a 3 colour laminate. pearl belly, chart middle and blue pearl/hilite back
  20. Whats shown above isn't made by hand, it would be from a one of a kind production mold made by machine.
  21. Disregard everything I posted then. Spike It's line of paints are designed for PVC Plastisol.
  22. If you are talking about making swimbaits out of PVC Plastisol (plastic) and not Rubber (Silicone etc) then yes the paints from Spike It will work and work very good through an airbrush. Their SB Coat paints are the solvent based paints that really don't require a top coat but if you top coat them with clear SB Coat or dip them in clear plastic it can make the colours really pop. Their CoLure Coat waterbased paint does require either a coat of the SB Coat clear or a dip in clear plastic. With both of these paints it is very beneficial to have their appropriate retarder on hand when airbrushing. They do have a VPI paint, it is identical to the SB Coat but not hasn't been reduced to be ready to use like the SB Coat, and comes in quarts and gallons.
  23. It's a laminate, a watermelon and brown of sorts, and only one size of flake
  24. Spike It has an Easy Flow, not sure if its soft, med or hard though.
