  1. You won't find much that is very close as they have a patent on that bait.
  2. I am quite sure he would have been referring to the plastic floating a hook. none will float a hook without adding micro spheres (floating bubbles) to the plastic
  3. Just because they are both called soft doesn't mean they are the same density, you are really comparing apples to oranges there. I don't know how a bait made with their soft didn't float on it's own, I've been using the same plastic for several years and all the baits I've made in soft have been buoyant.
  4. Another thing to look at is it has to be running to make money, if it sits idle it's costing you money.
  5. With the right amount of cavities and a good set of large pots it's more than possible. Most manufacturers running the machines want to run the same colour on them all day, Mike used to change half way through the day but I guess that can be a chore. I am using a pair of 2.5 gallon pots and can pump a good number of baits out depending on what the baits are, I can also change colours out fairly quick as well.
  6. Carolina Mike is running 2 of their machines. He's the only one on here I know of that uses them. I do believe they are the standard as far as commercially available machines go. Some manufacturers have built their own as well.
  7. It's one of them, but not the main, the main would be the heat stabilizer that you inhale while working with it.
  8. I import it from the US, as do most. I think there is one guy that sells Calhoun up here (don't have any other info on him) but from the prices I've heard its no better than just shipping it over
  9. I would bet they are all the same I buy salt direct here in Canada from the manufacturer 500lbs at a time.
  10. Get a super fine salt instead. I always found that if I ground up the salt it would wash out the colours and wouldn't suspend at all in the plastic. Switched to a super fine salt (like that sold by bait junky, lure craft, bears baits, MF etc) and it didn't wash the colours out as much and suspended much better.
  11. try shooting it very slow and see what happens.
  12. The bait from Angling AI is solid, does not have the hollow spot in it.
  13. No, it is left open so you can add scent, rattles etc.
  14. With a brass insert that fits in the mold.
  15. not that I've seen. Machining those very very thin ribs is very expensive to do.
  16. Yup, cheaper and I don't really feel like destroying a $100 injector.

    White

I have several that will return anything other than a very bright white.
  18. Exact setup I am using as well Frank, Heat in the micro and transfer to pots.
  19. Taxes, Duty and brokerage are all standard when importing (depending on the total of the invoice), when you buy any of the products in Canada they are already worked into the price anyway as they are most likely sourced from the US.
  20. Reel Pro's is Luremaking.com. only way to get a good selection is to eat the shipping and order from the US.
  21. I've had no problem bringing it into Canada.
  22. Why not create a plastic multi cavity mold master, make the first mold and cast a resin master of it, then you will have a hard durable master of the final mold and the clay master of the bait. heck, you could probably make several resin masters if you don't want to wait 24hr for each mold to cure.
  23. If you compare apples to apples it is $2/oz from doit or $1.80/oz from Lure Craft (if you buy a 4oz bottle @ $7.19). to go further it is $0.92/oz if you buy a pint from Lure Craft and $0.81/oz if you buy a quart. Personally I prefer to use certain colours from MF, SpikeIt and LureCraft. The super thick colours can be a pain to work with especially when they settle out (can be very hard to mix) and those 3 companies have pretty much exactly what i am looking for colour wise.
  24. If you call and ask Kim she will tell you herself that you are burning off the actual scent and recommend that you add to the baits after
