  1. cloudy look add yellow or white color. if you want salt, use powder fine salt. i add mine before heating
  2. brown black and yellow if ya ask me
  3. yes i have this color from them and its 100% junebug and redbug. mix hot pink and red to get it.
  4. i used degassed medium from leonard, he breaks it down into individual gallons and its always mixed properly. i tried the essential series and had crazy bubbles, degassed is worth it IMO his new gallons have a large opening but i just pour them into a smaller jug thats easier to pour into my pyrex cups.
  5. I'm in NH so i'd expect we fish a lot of the same stuff. this is an easy question if you ask me. CRAW craws are by far my favorite bait, or anything similar like a beaver or brush hog.
  6. my favorite is a baitjunkys injector, dont know if they are still making them anymore though. 2nd place would be bass tackle
  7. epoxy is the best, floor wax works too
  8. what ^ said but red, blue, purple, yellow too
  9. i make 2 piece hand pour molds from POP all the time, you just need to make sure gravity will fill your cavity. also everything needs to be thick enough to keep plastic flowing without cooling off. send me a pic or more details and i'll have a pretty good idea for you.
  10. im not expert but just because glass is made from sand (and other things) doesnt mean it could be processed by them, it isnt a natural thing they would encounter if man didnt exist. having said that, i dont think they can safety digest or dispose of a stick bait made from plastic anyways.
  11. i'm not sold on the glass beads, yeah they make the baits clearer but that's about it. salt is cheaper and is also a lot safer to handle/use. Don't have to worry about a pet or child getting a hold of them. anything that scratches aluminum might not be the best idea to use either. in terms of durability, i don't really care if one bait catches 1 fish or 20 fish, i'm there to catch fish not see how long 1 bait can last. salt is also natural to the earth, glass beads maybe are similar because glass is made from minerals, but still man made. yeah the plastic isn't natural either but that part is kind of necessary.
  12. mix purple and blue together until you like it... lol
  13. making molds certainly takes a lot of trial and error and practice to get it right. ive been doing it for a few years now and can pretty much copy any lure pretty exactly. a lot of baits with thin tails or arms will need to be injected, the easiest POP molds will be ones that can be gravity pours. I could make you the zoom super hog easily but I dont think the side arms would quite get filled properly. my advice would be to take that bait as a starting place, keep the key features that you like but make some modifications to not only give it your own style but also make it easier to pour. ive been working on my own molds doing similar things for a while now and have probably gone thru 100lbs of the stuff like it was never there. i use a different method than what it seems like a lot of people in here are doing. send me a message if you want to talk further
  14. the salt will absorb the water and make the bait poof up. best thing to do is either leave your baits on the runner and hang them straight up and down or take them off the runners and lay them perfectly straight and flat on a cookie tray

    Red Shad

take a bottle of black, add it into your plastic. repeat and do the same with red (and red hilite if you ask me) everyone has different color and everyone likes/has their own look of each color. if you dont want to come up with your own or take the take to figure out formulas, you wont have much fun at this hobby. google soft plastic recipe cookbook. there are people who have exact recipes posted on there

    Red Shad

    red hi-lite in both
  17. looks like a light green pumpkin with lots of black flake unless i'm missing something
  18. bob stands behind his work, there was a small issue with one of my molds from him and he fixed it no questions asked.
  19. i've got different (grades?) of aluminum from the same maker. the inside cavities seem to have the same look to them and you cant tell from the finished baits. maybe grade is the wrong word to use here but you can tell they arent exactly the same aluminum.
  20. i'd do a little watermelon and add chartreuse or yellow to it. the glitter is probably .015 orange and .035 black
  21. plastic softener salt adjust accordingly to your liking.
  22. pretty simple to use, keep the temps the same and start the flow once you put the injectors into the blending block before you put the block into your molds.
  23. use google keep for your recipes, and any other important information it stores on the cloud, and google is very reliable!
  24. what was the issue with it again? can you provide pics?
  25. i would email him first and just see what he says
