  1. I have made several jerk baits and want them to have more side to side action. I am looking to make some cut outs on the side of the lures ( don't know the terminology sorry) the lake fork shad has very square cut outs, the Sebille magic swimmer has angled cut outs and one other bait (forgive me) the banjo minnow has rounded cut outs, do you have any knowledge to each of these cut outs doing a specific thing as far as movement. In the end I just want to steadily retrieve the lure and have a little tail whip as it swims. I have plenty of hard plastic copies what do you suggest I try first.
  2. Here are the pics ( forgot to attach them on previous post) my questions. Does the tail section have to be as thin as possible for more wiggle movement in the water. Does the top and belly section have to come to more of a point than rounded. Will these things help it swim upright
  3. Need some advice. Not new to the site. I have been pouring off and on for a year now ( mainly one piece molds). I am trying to make Larry Dhalberg's version of mr wiggley. I have made the hard copy, successfully poured the mold but am having a hell if a time making it swim upright. It either wants to spin out of control or list to one side or the other and swim on its side. I think my hard copy is pretty good as far as centerline. I have installed tiny lead pellets in the bottom of the belly. I just don't understand water dynamics. Dhalberg's YouTube video makes it look so easy. I am posting a pic of the soft plastic result and hopefully the hard copy. Don't beat me up on the quality of the pour I am just trying to nail down the swimming action first. Thanks
