  1. I found a group on facebook called createx, wicked and auto - air users group- there are people on there from the createx company constantly and will gladly help you out with any paint questions you may have. they have helped me cure some ailments I have had in the past! very nice group of folks- mike <::>< kustom krankz

    1.5 Masquerade

I have the good fortune of looking @that bait every night- plus got free shipping!!! ha
  4. Nathan- do u use that krylon fusion made for plastic- if you can find it in flat white( its hard to do) it has a ok spray nozzle- and it adheres really well to any bait I have used it on- and wicked stuff sticks to it good also- mike
  5. I use all wicked colors and they work great- the only createx colors I still use are a few transparent ones that I really like that spray fine. people may laugh but most of the time if I have time my base coat comes from a white spray can from wal-mart - only thing is I have found is I like to let them dry overnight- u can base coat 20-30 baits really quick and I have never had a problem with other paints sticking to it- I use the flat white .99 can of spray paint
  6. thank you I appreciate it
  7. yeah- I put 2 and 2 together last night on facebook when I saw joe the plumber on your page- you do some really good work man- thanks for the advice
  8. thanks man- I appreciate it
  9. I ordered a few last night- cant wait to get them !
  10. I feel your pain- know where u r coming from- all I can say is it gets better- I keep 2 or 3 practice baits around now for new color schemes because I realized I have no need for 500 crankbaits with small imperfections in them!!!! about 10 years ago I took a 2 day airbrush class from terry hill in destin fla. who is a true artist-he is the t- shirt king and knows all the ins and outs of create paints- I took some baits with me and he helped me work out the paint to my needs which was invaluable- the biggest thing I can tell you and its nothing anyone else hasn't said is thin your paint to the right consistency, build your paint in thin layers, have a clean airbrush, and take a zanex(just kidding) but be patient-it will come and unless you are trying to make a living doing this -JUST HAVE FUN

white base-light coat of burnt sienna all over- heavier on the back-add stripes darken back up with black -add moss green to preferred color for body- cheek is a mix of white and brite blue (8:1) white to brite blue-orange and white on belly
  20. yeah- im with you- once it gets soft like that I pretty much trash them- sounds like you got some acetone or something like that on it- I use those messed up baits to try out different color schemes on- basically a practice bait-I spilled some acetone and it ran over on some 1.5's one day and did the same thing- I let them dry a couple of days ,coated in epoxy and now I have 8-10 practice baits- some of them have 20 layers of paint on them I would imagine- just keep spraying them white and starting over- mike <::><
  21. Jim at predator bass baits is working on a wiggle wart mold - anxious to see how those come out- everything I have gotten from him has been good- don't see why these shouldn't be either
  22. is the plastic staying soft? if that's the case im not sure u can fix that- u may try coating it in epoxy then scuff it up and repaint it- just an idea-
