  1. kThat is the same method I use but will have to try the milk cartons. Do they get the same sag in them as the petg.

    Replica of Poe's RC3

Thanks KJ I just hope it works when I get it on the water.
  4. These are the closest thing I have found to a wiggle wart. Found them at wally world bargan bin. Have not been able to find at any of the other wally worlds except the one. Hope this can help someone?

    Repaints

This is the closest thing I could find to a KO wiggle wart. I found these at walmart bargan bin for less than $2. they are called cotton cordel crankbait. So far I have been only able to find them at 1 wally world and bought all they had.

First attempt at making a crankbait. Made it out of scrap pine I had laying around, bought some lexan to make the coffin bill. Work's in the tub, but have to wait for spring to give it a real world test. Not proud of the paint job tried something different but need to improve on it alot.
  9. Hey Saltshaker! Let us know how that goes for you at Sam's. I also use the petg .020 it vacuum forms really well. It is a little tuff to cut but, is worth the effort and they will last a long long time.
  10. I just reread your post and some where got the idea you were new to the site this morning, must have still been sleeping earlier. LOL
  11. Welcome to tu. I'm sure you will find your stay here help full and enlighting. I know I have. Again welcome.
  12. Thank's Gon2long, I never thought to try auto-windshield wash. I have the rain-ex in the garage but I am not sure how it would work.
  13. I have not been able to find the windex, or any other glass cleaner without ammonia in it. The closest thing I could find was windex multi sufrace cleaner, but it did have vinegar in it. Would this work for the thinner formula?
  14. I use 4 coats, probably could get by with 3. It seems the more coats the longer it takes to dry.
  15. Dick blick also carry's it at reasonable prices.
  16. Maybe try an animal vet? They may have some or get from their supplier. Just a thought.
  17. The gst is a lacquer based sealer and your krylon is enamel I assume. You can put enamel on top of lacquer but if you put lacquer on top of enamel it will react and wrinkle or sag. Maybe that could be the problem.
  18. I'm not trying to say one brush is better than the other but both chicago airbrush and coast airbrush have the iwata revolution hp-br on sale for $99.95 and its a great gun for beginer or other wise. The Harder Steenbeck brushes are great brushes but for a beginner I would start with one of the cheaper brushes and progress up if the need was there. JMO.
  19. I totally agree. Not that I am anybody.
  20. A-Mac! Your welcome. Kinda funny I did this just yesterday morning. I don't think I have found anything that covers edges the way I would like it to. I hope your experment works for you. Let us know how it works. Royce
  21. I don't have a clue how they did this bait. But if you figure it out let us know. Pleasssssssseeeeeeeee its really cool.
  22. A-mac I had some old cranks that had some ugly worn looking bills on them, so the other day I sanded them and tried epoxie, I didn't like the look of it so I sanded the epoxies off and brushed on some MCU pretty heavy, put it on the turner and it and it worked out pretty good. Don't know how it would do with GST but worth a try. I know its not dipping, but worth a try I think. JMO Royce
  23. Welcome to tu, I'm sure you will find your time here great and helpfull. Nice looking lures.
