  1. Folk Art Ivory or Linen are what I've been using and really like them.
  2. KBS all the way. I have not layed any plastics on it yet to see how it reacts, but the overall finish is like epoxy. It thinner and you can dip and hang. Win WI!
  3. My first dip I hit with a hair dryer to just give a quick thin coat. It seems to help with wrinkles. After about 20-30 minutes I will dip again. Wait 30 minutes and dip the last time. Let hang over night to gas and let the smell good away. Hooks and ready to fish in morning.
  4. The more coats, the clearer it gets it feels Like to me. I typically use 2-3 dips.
  5. What I have done recently with great success is dip the bait then blow dry it immediately to heat up and knock the excess ac1315 off the bait. To me it seems to leave a very fine cost on the outer layer of paint which keeps it from wrinkling. Then in 20 minutes dip again and let hang.
  6. Thank you so much. I'm hoping to be able to make this work for me.
  7. I'm lucky enough to hands a friend at a body shop. One of those pimp my ride type places. They do my clear for me. Can't wait to see how it goes. What glue are you using to get the foil to transfer and stick?
  8. You're using the nail foil, correct? I just ordered some yesterday, hope it works out like I'd like it to.
  9. Had anyone tried this with crank baits?
  10. Yes I'm using the same foil. I have not heated it. That may be the issue. Maybe hearing it up will help the clear come off and leave the glued foil behind. Thanks for the help. As far as adhesive I've just been using Elmer's spray adhesive. It's pretty tacky after about 30 seconds to a minute. Matt
  11. I dunno if I got the wrong stuff or what, but I'm having issues with it. I used a spray adhesive and put it put my rattle bait on then pushed with a rag and back of a marker to smooth out. Problem is it doesn't peel off like yours did leaving a clear transfer. It all comes off when I peel it up. Help!!!
  12. Have same issue with my Neo. I guess I'll try soaking the whole deal broken down in the reducer stuff. Hopefully it will break down any build up inside.
  13. I have been using a turner with baits that don't have a tail hook like the Wiggle Wart it keeps it from pooling up above the tail. Have dipped all with no take on the bill. It clears it very nicely. On baits I do hang, I always hang from the bill. Hope this helps
  14. A buddy picked up some GST for me while out of state I was super pumped to try it. It has ruined evet bait I've dipped in it. I've even pre dipped in floor shine before and let dry for a few hours and it has eaten through it and wrinkled. I seem to be the guy that if it's perfect for everyone else it won't work at all for though. Lol have had nothing but great results though with the AC1315 though, so hoping it stays that way.
  15. So far I am loving this stuff! Fished a bait I dipped the other day, and caught several fish without a scratch on the bait. The great part is that waiting time. I can paint a bait and fish it the next day.
  16. Pardon my horrible auto correct error. Pop-r blank is what I meant to say. In regards to Barry, I've been dipping twice. The instructions recommends no more than 2 coats. I dip once then wait 3-4 hours dipping again and it's ready for hooks in 2 hours. Popper stupid auto correct
  17. After making sure my paint was dried and heated well I've had zero issues with wrinkling and have been very pleased with how it's turned out. Fished a Pop-R blank I painted just for this and no hook rash after an hour or two and a few fish catches. I hope it continues to work well in the cold.
  18. Coated these ones I did today in the Pledge and everything worked like a champ. I'm really hoping this stuff gets hard and stands you to hook rash.
  19. Painted up 4 baits today and dipped them. All wrinkled you certain degrees. Any possible reasons why? I heat dry all coats with a hair dryer before dipping. Should I try the Pledge first? If so how long after doing in pledge before dipping in AC1315? THANKS
  20. I'm doing my work in my garage. It's not exactly climate controlled. Lol That being said it's well over 70*. I'd amazed that you thin this stuff. It goes on like thick water for me. And the work time is super long. I can easily cover 5 baits before it gets sticky, and probably more if I mixed up enough to cover more.
  21. Maybe it's a bad batch, but I had the exact same issue with a different brand today. It went on smooth and easy just like the bsi. I put it on my drying wheel and came back in 30 minutes and it was lumpy. I ordered Devcon immediately!
  22. I've been using Devcon with zero problems, but was highly recommended to use BSI 20 so I picked some up when I ran out of Devcon. Does the BSI not self level like the Devcon? It sets up lumpy and looks horrible. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
  23. Thanks Bass100 that's how I was wanting to do it, but didn't really see how to take it apart easily. My next ones will be done that way for sure Thanks
