  1. Jack, Maybe the "swimbait" terminology is the cause for the mix up I have attached a link to the original baits that I modelled http://www.squidgies.com.au/squidgyproflickbait.aspx Steve
  2. Slamming jack, Caught this one in about 160ft of water. Rigged the plastic on 1.5oz jig head with XXS strong hooks which are needed on these types of reef fish. For interest I fished my baits all day and also caught Spanish (King) Mackerel, Red Emporer, Coral Trout, and a pile of assorted ugly cods etc The fishing is very close to the Great Barrier Reef. I have another trip next week to Western Australia. The fishing is good over there but the seas are much bigger and tougher to fish...... hopefully I will have some more pictures to share Steve
  3. Thanks guys.... For interest the fish is called a Chinaman and was caught off Mackay Australia. These fish are the hardest fighting fish that I have ever caught Cheers Steve
  4. Hi everyone, New to the forum and also new to pouring plastics. I have learnt plenty off the site and managed to come up with some decent POP molds of 7" swim baits. The tips on this site have been invaluable I fished these baits for the first time last weekend and what do you know caught fish with them. Picture of first fish attached. I am well and truly hooked now Cheers Steve
