  1. The baits cured up oilier & softer feeling than with the calnouns, but after letting them cure a little longer there very good and the softness is good & the baits are actually pretty durable. I've ordered several 5 gallon batches of it so far & like it.
  2. I ordered some floatant bubble material from baitplastics when i ordered plastic the other day & wondered what would be a good place to start when it came to how much per ounce to get a high floating bait. I usually work in either 4 or 6 ounce batches. Any suggestions? Thanks
  3. That makes two of us. It toook me a little while to get use to it after using calhouns that baitjunkys sold, but i'm happy now. I just orderd 4 gallons of medium & a gallon of salt water too . I mix it with the medium to make tubes.
  4. That injector will also expand & contract very badly if you really try to shoot it a bunch & it will get so hot that you’ll think it’s going to burn you.
  5. That injector is 100 % the problem. Oil the inside. . Musky Gary done a mod to his that made it work good. I had one of those that you have, but in a dual injector & i replaced the orings & cut a notch to be able to use a screw driver to twist & remove the tips from the tubes & it worked alright. Since i had one like you're talking about my advice would be to replace with either a basstackle, a do-it or one from quality injector. Basstackle is the best on the market however & is what i'd get if i were you. Never skimp on an injector.
  6. She may also want to whip your *ss.
  7. Fern, that's probably the most durable rod a person could get. I'd say that will work real well/ I'm checking out the sizes on them myself.
  8. I was looking around & wondered what about a bain marie pot for normal sized tubes?
  9. After looking at pics of an asparagus steamer there's no doubt in my mind that hand dipping any size tube would be easy as long as you can keep the plastic warm, stirred & also keep enough in the pot for the depth needed to make the length you want. Also a downsized version for normal size tubes would be real nice. . It's a great idea for sure. I'm going to see what i can find since i'm cutting my own tails anyway.
  10. Not a thing wrong with that.
  11. Hopefully. I was told by a tackle shop owner that went to a show a couple weeks ago that a lot of brands are so far behind that they won't be getting certain baits until october & some not this year because they're trying to catch up. Zoom, berkely & a couple other major brands had several baits that dealers wouldn't be able to get this year. Zoom more than anything else per zoom according to the store owner was going to be effected more than anybody else because they were the #1 selling brand of soft plastics. Guess we'll see.
  12. Maybe try a smidgen of yellow or white to it or both, but were talking just a very small amount on a skewer or something like that the size of a pin head at a time until you reach the shade you want
  13. ultralight shakey head i'd say or type of ned rig with some action.
  14. I remember seeing somebody saying that they use beakers & dip a rod into it.
  15. I use to fish the dead ringer & big dead ringer all the time on hot summer nights. That big thumping tail will flat just that. Thumped.
  16. Oh no doubt. I’d say the ol monster is the most popular big worm going & it’s as close as you get. I pretty much know my buddy’s are going to be wanting a bunch of mine when they see that I’ve been making them.
  17. I was going to buy it because i like how close it resembles the ol monster, but thought with the cavity count & one dollar difference that i'd give this one a try. If something happens that i change my mind i will definitely be the baitjunkys mold for sure.
  18. I shot 5 dozen baits today as fast as i could go to see how it handled the heat when shooting repeatedly & never had a single issue at all.Shot great every time & never had any flashing, denting or hollow spots. Great mold in my opinion.
  19. When holding it up you can really see that the tail's going to work nice too. I started throwing a lot of worms again last summer & used the zoom ole monster & i think this will be a good replacement for it.
  20. No drop count or glitter measurement at all. I just squirted some colorant & dumped some glitter in & heated for 2 minutes just to see what kind of worm it made. I really like the fact that you can make 4 at a time so it will be easy to make a couple dozen pretty quick like.
  21. You’ll have to over look the bud light cans. Lol
