  1. , Bill, i know you never noticed, but this is a 12 year old thread that you've replied to.
  2. Yep other than a couple lurecraft colorants all the rest of mine are lureworks & i buy them by the pint& i have several of them.
  3. I have the lurecraft & it doesn't take much to do you because it is pretty strong stuff.
  4. Most of my stuff in medium, but sometimes i add hard to it if i want them a little firmer. Tubes i usually do 3 ounces medium & ounce hard. Right now i'm using bait plastics plastisol.
  5. Congratulations Mike. I know you've been waiting long enough for a call back.
  6. I've used their medium & hard.I would think medium hard would be decent. You could always get medium or medium hard & add hard to it until you're satisfied. I've done this a bunch with tubes & something with thin appendages that i wanted a little tougher.
  7. Adam,I've been very busy & forgot to send you the sample tubes, but i will this week. Sorry.
  8. i have the double dipper & it's a great mold.
  9. You'll be glad to bought it instead of others.
  10. Probably a do it isince you got it from Zieners.
  11. I do before i start & if i feel it start to tighten up the slightest amount i oil it which is usually every 4 to 6 shots. I keep a pint bottle of worm oil on the bench & pour some down the tube, replace nozzle & squirt back into the bottle. Works out great & i've been using the same pint for way over 2 years. .
  12. Twin 6 ounce all the way. I actually purchased one off of Frank last year & really like it. I had a 6 & a 10 ounce basstackle already before getting the twin off of Frank. I also had one fromBaitplastics which was the one from Quality Injector & i was never able to make the first shot with it. Baitplastic returned mine & many others money. I will also say that a lot of that have them & don't have any problems with them.
  13. I liked lureworks better than any I’ve used personally. Like said if the shipping was cheaper it would be my first choice. I’ve used the calhouns when Leonard sold it & now use baitplastics & like it too.
  14. Looks good Bassman17$. i like those.
  15. Just take your time & slowly buy what molds that will make the lures you'll use constantly. For me it was a basstsackle brush hog style mold, next two delmart shz molds (super hogs), several aluminium & artificial stone molds for several different types of jig trailer molds, worm molds & a couple fluke style molds from enforcer, & a tube mold & a hula grub mold from angling ai. Now i have about 30 molds & still not done. If you take some time it won't get to overwhelming & it will become a very addictive, but enjoyable hobby. Then there's the catching all of your fish on stuff that you made yourself.
  16. microwave, pyrex cups, gloves, digital thermometer, plastisol, colorant & glitter & molds for your absolute favorite baits will definitely get you going pretty good. Medium plastisol would be the best bet to start with until you learn & know what you like. It's also hard to beat bait plastics brands for price on plastisol.
  17. Mike, a lot of guys say they're top notch.
  18. I remember that this is exactly what was happening to Ferns tubes so it's definitely not a new thing.
  19. Good idea. I believe i'll pick one up & make it fit too.
  20. Lureworks or baitplastics is what i like since Leonard at baitjunkys doesn't sale calhouns anymore. I'm using medium in the baitplastics right now& it's pretty good stuff. They also have a medium hard if you want a little firmer finished product. I really like lureworks being in the bag in the box & it's very good plastisol too.
  21. Yep me too & usually do it every time i go into the garage.
  22. And the man knows his stuff along with several more on here that are always willing to help. .
