  1. I lost one Friday night that cost us getting in the money, but every fish came on my plastics that i make. Been that way for several years now & you're right there's nothing better than that.
  2. Most claim they don't have to lubricate very often, but i've had to do it with every brand of injector i've had when i've felt them starting to tighten slightly. I keep worm oil in a pint bottle that i squirt into bags of lures when i bag them & i just take cap off & pour some in the injector & replace the injector tip & squirt back into bottle that it came out of. I do the same with the dual injector & then stick it into the blending block & then squirt back into bottle. Easy enough to do when needed.
  3. There's several different options. for injectors. I really like both my single 6 ounce & my twin 6 ounce dual injector. I also had a basstackle 10 ouncer & it was a good one too.
  4. I lubricate mine every 5 or 6 shots with worm oil or as soon as i feel it tightening up & have no prpblem with my basstackle 6 ounce single or dual injector either one. They'll get tight as can be real quick if not lubricated regularly.
  5. Who makes a mold closest to the rage tail grub? I saw the og grub that do-it has, but wondered if there was something else everyone liked? Thanks
  6. I don't know about the bait plastics glitter, but i have had some glitter from a craft store that bled because of to much heat. Try adding it after heating & also try not going over 350* to see if it helps. I have a bunch of lureworks glitter so naturally no problems there, but i also have a bunch of glitter from both walmart & hobby lobby & i don't have problems unless i get it way to hot.
  7. Try a few without dipping & some with & see what happens. I'd think it unlikely, but you never know especially if you're dipping them pretty quickly after shooting. May even try letting a few sit undipped for a couple days then dip & see what happens. It's definitely worth a shot.
  8. . Lots of competition in the bait business for sure. I've had a few try to get me to put baits in their stores & i don't. I do have a couple ideas for when i retire in a few years though that i think will work & may try it then.
  9. I got extremely close to the huiasche or whatever they call it in a super hog style bait now onto the tube.
  10. I wouldn't personally, but some may. I usually buy a few of certain colors at a time when buying. That said since i started making my own i may buy a single pack of something that i really like the color of to try to match or atleast make the base color of & add glitter etc. to suit myself so i rarely buy anything nowadays.
  11. I don't know or care about all that, but I've bought from them before & a couple of their colors to make tubes in is all i'm interested in.
  12. I've fished the d bomb & they catch fish for sure. I fish two different beaver style baits that will hang with the d bomb every time for me & that's the beaver style creature mold from Curt at enforcer or the shz that delmart sold that lurecraft sells now. It may just be a confidence thing, but i'm an extreme stickler about the tails on this type bait because of how i fish them & when fishing them off of deep ledges& drops off of bluffs i want a bait that gets a good vertical fall & these do it best for me. I absolutely love this type of bait.
  13. I use 5/16" nuts in pint bottles.
  14. Is there any liquid base still left to them at all? If so i'd think you could scrape it loose & shake it a lot & get it to come back. If there isn't a liquid base left you may possibly add some worm oil to them & see what happens then because you wouldn't be losing anything anyway besides a little worm oil. If you're in a big hurry i'd just order more colorant, but i'd have to experiment with the old stuff to see if i could bring it back.
  15. Yep & i like using mica powders too. Brings a lot of color variation to the table.
  16. I hang mine by the sprue to keep them straight. I don't consider them cured until dry to the touch then i bag them if going fishing & add a little worm oil & sometimes give them a heavy spray of bang crawfish spray. Not necessarily right or wrong it's just the way i do it for my own personal taste. You'll figure out a system that suits your needs best too.
  17. . Their junebug tube & hiuache 4" yomama is what i'd like to pretty much duplicate the colors of if anybody can figure out how to do it. Also known as Christopherson baits. Is this anybody on here? Thanks
  18. lol The pic you posted doesn't look anything like purple with blue flake on my monitor.
  19. Black, blue, green pumpkin & junebug are what i stated with. Now besides that i have white, orange, yellow, another junebug, another green pumpkin, gourd, chartreuse, redbug, cherry red, red, pumpkinseed, black grape etc. I say etc. because, right off hand i can't think of all of them & they're all pint bottles too & needing more. lol Way more glitter than i want to take the time to mention & a little over 6 gallons of plastic with the order from yesterday & another mold coming which will put me at about 30. lol Start slowly because you're going to be spending for years to come.
  20. My wifes son & i decided to take an enforcer 8" ribbon tail worm mold & fix it to where we could still make the ribbon tail or a paddle tail worm. either one. We took a dremel tool to it & it worked out great. It has an offset paddletail, but can be rigged straight up or down & still makes the ribbon tail by removing the part we dremeled out. I shot the mold several times & It shot perfect every time. i feel positive i can rig it several different ways to get bit. Can you tell it's getting a little boring around here with me experimenting like this?
