  1. I don't know or care about all that, but I've bought from them before & a couple of their colors to make tubes in is all i'm interested in.
  2. I've fished the d bomb & they catch fish for sure. I fish two different beaver style baits that will hang with the d bomb every time for me & that's the beaver style creature mold from Curt at enforcer or the shz that delmart sold that lurecraft sells now. It may just be a confidence thing, but i'm an extreme stickler about the tails on this type bait because of how i fish them & when fishing them off of deep ledges& drops off of bluffs i want a bait that gets a good vertical fall & these do it best for me. I absolutely love this type of bait.
  3. I use 5/16" nuts in pint bottles.
  4. Is there any liquid base still left to them at all? If so i'd think you could scrape it loose & shake it a lot & get it to come back. If there isn't a liquid base left you may possibly add some worm oil to them & see what happens then because you wouldn't be losing anything anyway besides a little worm oil. If you're in a big hurry i'd just order more colorant, but i'd have to experiment with the old stuff to see if i could bring it back.
  5. Yep & i like using mica powders too. Brings a lot of color variation to the table.
  6. I hang mine by the sprue to keep them straight. I don't consider them cured until dry to the touch then i bag them if going fishing & add a little worm oil & sometimes give them a heavy spray of bang crawfish spray. Not necessarily right or wrong it's just the way i do it for my own personal taste. You'll figure out a system that suits your needs best too.
  7. . Their junebug tube & hiuache 4" yomama is what i'd like to pretty much duplicate the colors of if anybody can figure out how to do it. Also known as Christopherson baits. Is this anybody on here? Thanks
  8. lol The pic you posted doesn't look anything like purple with blue flake on my monitor.
  9. Black, blue, green pumpkin & junebug are what i stated with. Now besides that i have white, orange, yellow, another junebug, another green pumpkin, gourd, chartreuse, redbug, cherry red, red, pumpkinseed, black grape etc. I say etc. because, right off hand i can't think of all of them & they're all pint bottles too & needing more. lol Way more glitter than i want to take the time to mention & a little over 6 gallons of plastic with the order from yesterday & another mold coming which will put me at about 30. lol Start slowly because you're going to be spending for years to come.
  10. My wifes son & i decided to take an enforcer 8" ribbon tail worm mold & fix it to where we could still make the ribbon tail or a paddle tail worm. either one. We took a dremel tool to it & it worked out great. It has an offset paddletail, but can be rigged straight up or down & still makes the ribbon tail by removing the part we dremeled out. I shot the mold several times & It shot perfect every time. i feel positive i can rig it several different ways to get bit. Can you tell it's getting a little boring around here with me experimenting like this?
  11. no doubt the original electric blue has a purple base & loaded up with blue glitter it doesn't look anything like the color the op asked about. I like the older version better myself so thanks for the info Josh.
  12. I just bought a hot knife at harbor freight so i know i'll be melting & adding diffrent parts to others to try something custom .
  13. I didn't know about it at first, but i've used baitjunkys, lureworks & baitplastics & i just ordered another 5 gallon batch of baitplastics plastic. The only thing i don't like is the jug it comes in & would rather it have the regular old small gallon jug mouth. The bag in the box from lureworks is great too in my opinion.
  14. Some plastisol seems to take longer to fully cure than others. I’ve made lures out of lureworks & Baitjunkys Calhoun both & used them the next day, but i’ve let the Baitplastics cure for a few days because what I used of it seems to Be stretchy & put off some oil for a few days until fully cured. They said they’d never heard of this happening & i’m going off of my experience only so I don’t know if anyone else has or not. Could have just been the batch I got. However I will say that after it fully cured that the lures made with it were excellent. Not for sure which brand I’m going with next time Baitplastics or Lureworks.
  15. I've never heated any of my molds at all, but after staying at it i did have to take a break to let them cool a little until a started stacking them like one not being shot then one i'm shooting then another not being shot etc. that completely ended the need to let the molds being shot cool because the ones not being shot were absorbing heat from them.Oil the rods every time you shoot. I just lightly brush some on with an art brush. I've also done laminate tubes with the 4" double dipper tube mold & had good luck. If you inject & then hand dip make sure the color your hand dipping is a little cooler then what you normally inject at which will let it build up quick. To thin & it will run & let the bottom color that you injected show through pretty easy When I was making shorter tubes i injected then attached a little spring clip to the ends that would be cut off later since i was making shorter ones anyway & then hand dipped & hung up on headless nails to cure after drying. I've got around 50 green pumpkin colored ones that need the tails cut now. My cutter is lurecrafts block attached to a heavier duty home made beefed up version similar to their press. I dip the end to be cut in worm oil then lay it under block, press handle down a couple times & the tails are cut & seperated pretty good. Doing hand dipped i just dip & spin around until plastic sets up then hang up to cure. Also look up horizontal dipping tube lures. There' s a video by get bent kayak fishing using dollar tent stakes from walmart & using very little plastic to do it that way which i'm thinking about trying myself.
  16. Yes they are I've done tubes both ways & never had that to happen.I've done single injection, hand dip & i've also injected & then hand dipped to make two color tubes & haven't had anything like that to happen, but i have an angling ai tube mold too so i don't know if that could be the difference.
  17. I'm getting ready to order more plastic now too.
  18. I tried a fan & it didn't work to good for me either so i open garage door in warm weather & in cold weather i don't stand directly over the heated plastic & open the entry door to air things out from time to time.
  19. I have the swimming & a medium chunk myself. I wish i'd have bought the super chunk style myself.
