  1. I just bought baitplastics 6 gallon baitjunkys blend & with the 25% off code i got in an email it was $129.81 delivered. You can also pick either hard, medium, soft etc for each individual gallon. I order some hard for making tubes & the rest in medium.
  2. 3 or 4 ounces. 4 will do it for sure, but with so many different molds I can’t remember off the top of my head.

    Bobbin ?

What bobbin do most use tying flies & is it an absolute necessity to have ? Thanks
  4. Thanks guys. I appreciate the help.
  5. Thanks Burt. I figured it wouldn't be that big a deal, but i haven't fished it in a long time, but then it was with the 3 way swivel & a liter & bobber. I figured i'd be able to do it with a lot less rigging headaches & try to keep the old hands drier & warmer too. lol Would the small floats work with 6 lb. mono ok too? Thanks
  6. I put mine in empty folgers coffee cans & write on them with a sharpie what color. I also put what colorant number on it too like lureworks junebug 125. If it's something i've taken multiple colors to make a certain color ( example matching zooms ruby red) i have all recipies for each bait i've made in that color written down in a notebook so i know exactly how much plastisol, colorant brand & number with the amount of drops, glitter, salt etc. i used to make it. This way i can repeat it when necessary after i've reach the shade i wanted in each bait since each can be different due to thicknesses etc.
  7. I’m going to make some floatnfly jigs. 1/16 & 1/8 ouncers. Is there a bobbet that can be bought off the shelf about anywhere that doesn’t need modifying to use with it? Can a plain weighted or slip bobbet be used? Also what length would balance well with 1/16 & 1/8 jigheads? Not talking bobs bobbers or rocket bobbers since I know about them already. Thanks
  8. Most use Kelley green glitter for junebug. I use lureworks .040 kelly green for mine. If I want it loaded up i’ll add some small glitter too.
  9. Look pretty good to me.
  10. Smoke with red glitter, cherry seed worms with black glitter, junebug red, smoke purple with black glitter, light amount of black grape with red & black glitter or either by themselves in worms. I've taken red glitter that would bleed when good & hot & used it in white plastic to make flukes with a light pink tint & pink glitter when finished & they looked & worked great. Beavers with red glitter work good at night on bright moonlit nights or day time in stained water in bright sun too. Lots of baits & colors these glitters will work well in. Experiment & come up with your own colors too that nobody else has. It can be real fun when nobody else has a color you're catching them on. lol
  11. green pumpkin red is another good one. Works great on moonlit nights too.
  12. Lureworks hi temp polyester glitter. I’ve never had a single problem with theirs. When I use the other brands up that I have lureworks will be all that i’ll use along with their colorants.
  13. How about the 2 cup anchor measuring cups? I use my 1 cup the most, but the 2 cup will do it for sure.
  14. A lot of times i inject my angling ai tube mold for 2 color tubes if i want the tail a different color then the body & then hand dip the body. Works pretty well if you're making a bunch because the angling ai mold i have shoots 5 at a time. I'll make green pumpkin with rootbeer pepper green tails a lot & it works very good for me. You can also hand dip & keep more plastic in the microwave ready to go to add to the cup you're dipping out of to keep it topped of deep enough for dipping if you don't have or want to buy a mold. Frank i think it is keep his plastic warm on a griddle so you could also do that to keep enough backup plastic ready to be able to top off the dipping cup.
  15. I agree with Frank that if you don't order from them anymore you are losing out on some great products. Quite possible the the weather has caused problems. I've had orders from other places be late when major storms stopped the dead in their tracks.
  16. I have over 20 cnc aluminium molds & have 4 of the artificial stone molds from bugmolds for things i couldn't find elsewhere. Clamp them in all 4 corners & you shouldn't get any flashing. I have never used oil either & my baits haven't stuck letting them cool for 3 minutes before removing them. Other than having a duller finish than cnc aluminium molds I have absolutely no problem with them.
  17. Yep flashing is what i'm going to go with too.
  18. I have never had a problem with them whatsoever & have gotten my orders on time.
  19. i'll have to say it has pretty much been a dead end road trying to find anyone with his cd. Erick definitley has been trying to find something on it for years for sure.
  20. Joel, i sent your video to a buddy yesterday. Him & his son are really getting into making baits & he's a tube finatic too. lol He loved the video & couldn't believe how easy it actually was to hand dip tubes. I figure the video would help answer a lot of questions. Thanks for posting it.
  21. Says brand new & never used on bass boat central in the miscellaneous forum for 785 bucks shipped. Had 2 pots, controller, dual injector etc. Figured i post this here in case anyone was looking for something to pump out a bunch more baits. Good deal for sure.
  22. Man that is some serious talent right there.
