  1. Yes. I saw it once in accessories I think it was. I asked them when I ordered mine just to be sure & they said they had them anyway.
  2. To black just add red glitter to get the black neon & emerald green( or what ever green you have) to get the black emerald. Try a drop at a time of black colorant until you get your base color to suit you & then add glitter or add after you heat your plastic either one. Should be a pretty easy color to make. Post a thread asking for help if you have trouble with it.
  3. Read the stickys at the top of the soft plastic forum. Some very good info there. Also if in doubt don't be afraid to post questions as we will alll try to help. It really isn't as hard as it seems especially with some of the bait makers here to help. Just be prepared to spend some money if you end up deciding it's something you really want to pursue. It kind of goes with the territory. lol I just started back in the spring & i have several injection molds of my favorite baits that we use locally & my buddys get theirs from me which helps offset the cost a little. The best thing is you can have colors no one else has & the fish haven't saw before & nothing is as cool as catching them on baits & colors that you made yourself.
  4. If doing by hand for yourself you can use the deluxe plastic cutter( 2x138) from lurecraft & smack it with a rubber mallet while lying on something like a plastic stylecutting board. It's what I do & it works fine as long as you dip the tail section to be cut in wormoil to lubricate it. DaveMc explained it to me. Works great as you can see.
  5. I hope everyone at tackleunderground has a great Christmas & gets to enjoy spending time with family & friends. Merry Christmas
  6. I totally agree. To me cutting tails is no big deal for my & my buddys use. If i was pumping out big batches at a time a cutting press would probably be the way i'd go, but you can cut way more than you think you could with the block & rubber mallett too. Doing 2 colors i can see the need for splines as well though.
  7. Just noticed you're from Beaver Dam. That's where my mother is from. Still have a lot of family there
  8. the spikeit junebug 125 with kelly green makes a very nice jinebug.
  9. Lurecraft deluxe plastic cutter. Item 2x138. I use it to cut my tubes & it works fine.
  10. I'm not seeing anywhere to delete motifications am i missing something? Thanks
  11. Joel, the only thing I've saw was a post on wmi.org that bohon done going into pretty good detail about doing it. No pics though. I googled hand dipping bass tube lures & found it. I saved it as a shortcut on my computer at home so I would have it when needed.
  12. Montess thanks. I figure I may try it with salt & without as so many say you need to use salt in tubes for whatever reason. I do think it would help with cutting tails. I know the baby brush hog type baits I made with heavy salt were tougher than without. I'll just have to try & see what works & suits me best. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
  13. Now if I can figure out a salt ratio for 6 ounces as there is no salt in these. Any suggestions on how much to add? Thanks
  14. This is what I came up with off the top of my head. Needs more glitter, but will be close when I get done.
  15. How do you post pics from iPhone 5 to tackleunderground? Thanks
  16. Thanks Leonard. I have been using lureworks junebug 125 & lurecraft black grape, but i'll try the blue & purple thing. Be nice to know how many drops of each in say 6 ounces of your medium. Hint hint. lol
  17. Thanks Leonard i will give that a try. It definitley should help.
  18. Leonard, i totally agree with that. I do think i need some weaker black though or something like was mentioned for a lighter smoke base. 1 drop in 4 ounces & it's very dark & in 6 ounces is better, buy still to dark for what i'm wanting for my tubes for day time use. Any suggestions? Maybe the tooth pick thing? Thanks
  19. Thanks for the tip. I may try that for anything that i want a very light smoke base on. I appreciate it.
  20. What colorant are you using? When i tried using lurerworks violet 193 in my junebug which is what spikeit claimed was used in zooms junebug nowadays they would turn a red tint due to the violet being very heat sensitive.I forget what the exact name was, but that is the only color i've had to do it. It would aslo do it worse the hotter the mold got. I've used their junebug 125 & lurecrafts black grape both for mine now & never have a problem. Just a thought.
  21. Guys, i was using 1 drop of lureworks black 103 i think it is in 4 ounces & it was really dark. I went with 6 ounces & it's a lot better, but still a little on the dark side which is why i asked incase there was something in it i was missing. I may even have to go to 8 ounces with my black to get the lighter shade i'm looking for. Thanks guys
