Yeah it’s sparkle violet! I could not remember the name . It is the right stuff for sure. I have some and have used it.

I believe it’s halo purple , lureworks sells it.

Close does count :-) my post from three years ago still stand on the watermelon with the addition to the green pumpkin . I’ve come close with to gp with M n F greenpumpkin green and maroon 4 oz plastic soft 3 table spoons of salt 1 table spoon softner 40-50 drops greenpumpkin green 1-2 drops of maroon The maroon “browns up “ the green . It gives it the yellow you see when you hold it up to a light As a matter fact using the light over my vent hood is how I have always judged colors I have found to get an a close match looking at them in the light and matching what you see they would be almost identical when held side by side in your hand.

My copy of the yammie natural shad 4 oz plastic 1/ tablespoon of salt 1 drop of black pinch of halo gold .015 pinch of black .015 how much salt you use and. Black you use depends on what you want for your copy i make grubs and stick worms in that color (they kill)

Plumbers lead used in soil stacks and the like are general pretty pure .cant be beat

I use a Colman cooler drain on my 1 gallon container or you could use a boiler drain and to 1/2 conduit nuts to capture the boiler drain in the side of the plastic. I would think that should take the bulk of the plastic out of the bucket and by the time you get to the bottom of the bucket what’s left would be manageable i can lay my one gallon jug which is kind of square in its side and I can dispense from there. I can post pic later if interested

You can airbrush with vpi plastic paints the dip when you do the eyes of the frog

I’m like you I’m always open to new ideas and products. I use baitjunkies degassed most of the time medium or soft with good success I’ve also used the economy which is not degassed which did have bubbles but they were minimal (cooked in a pot) the bubbles go away . I’ve also had good experiences with M and F super soft very heat tolerant and no bubbles and have no bubble issue in micro wave with either the bjs premium degassed and M n F . Remelts that sit around with salt in them will collect moisture which will bubble but if you cook it you can get it out . Sometimes I’ll let the plastic rest hot in micro to let the bubbles out. They are both very good plastics that will take heat but we still have to keep an eye on them so they don’t scorch . Some plastics are by nature more heat stable than others but I can only speak for my self when I say this but when it scorched it’s because of me not the plastic. The trick is to find the happy medium where you heat it as little as possible use as much of it as you can on the first heat when used in the micro. Now as far as a pot goes , as long as I keep the temp in the sweet spot for what I’m shooting I have not scorched plastic in a pot in a long time and here again it was me not the plastic

To each their own I tried it once before and had bubble issues which is not a big deal for people who cook in pots , which I do sometimes . Most of the time I cook in the micro and the bubbles drive me nuts. What I should have said was it reheats well like most plastics but the bubbles are there. Just my opinion there are other plastics out that don’t bubble at all and reheat as well for price point close to what they charge. I’m not saying it’s junk. All I’m saying is if price was all that matters like it did for me when I first started making plastics then by all means you just have to accept the characteristics of that plastic . Another point to consider is sometimes we introduce the microbubbles too by stiring to much or to hard

Solid set up there^ I have something very similar I use an attic vent (all metal) built a box over it in my attic that vents directly outside connected 12 duct to that and have a boxed in hood vent . I use it for lead/plastics. Very similar

It’s polysol plastic. Just my 2ct but there is better plastic for pennys more.

Salt Substituteit makes the baits more durable and more transparent.

With the course grit I use the baits come out like the pics monete is showing the finer grit I would think would cloud it worse. I’ve had the same experience with salt the finer the grain the cloudier the bait larger course grain more transparency. I could be wrong though .

X2 on that have both and out of the 40 something colors I have those 2 are the worst I’ve got for hard pack I had to add a couple more stainless nuts in them to make it easier to mix and sometimes still need a screwdriver . Mix the crap out of it and when you think you’ve got it shake more:-)

I agree about the 80-100 after a couple years it does scratch up the piston . The walls are just scratches . Sooner or later it scratches Pyrex . No biggie Pyrex should be replaced after a while anyway. It does wear out orings. Also a finer grit should polish out the scratches I would think. I push steel wool through that injector that I use for glass beads from time to time. I’ve never had a problem with the injector just the oring . It is a hobby for me as well but I do a lot of “hobby pouring” lol

Same here! Bait junky’s good stuff . I’ve used or use all three types. There hard is good for tubes. The medium is very durable. M and F also makes a good plastic but expensive. I’ve tried others too but go back to those two. Good products good service. The way I look at it is it never hurts to look around and see what’s around you . If you don’t you don’t know what you missed but generally you always go back to what you’re comfortable with and people that treat you right. tight lines!

These pics are using a little different type of plumbing fitting for copper . Same size though . You can make tons for them for cheap or free if your a plumber! :-)
