  1. I am a hard bait guy but really like the mad dad 3.5" craws from the do it mold. Does anyone know where I can purchase those baits without buying the molds and all? Thanks
  2. I currently use the spinnerbait packaging from lurepartsonline http://www.lurepartsonline.com/Online-Store/Lure-Display-Containers/Spinnerbait-Display-Containers.html but they are sooo expensive. Does anyone have a place where you can get these cheaper? I like this style as it fits my baits well. Thanks Jason 'grundlman'
  3. Cast Industries in Springfield, Illinois
  4. Thanks guys.....this has been very helpful
  5. Hey guys, having some adhesion issues with my painted blades. Do you guys etch the blades before starting the paint process? Thanks Jason
  6. I have some 3d designs for molds I want but really dont have the capital for a CNC machine. Do you guys know of any companies that will make custom CNC routed molds?
  7. How exactly do you guys make your molds out of bondo? Will it hold up to the heat of the lead?
  8. It was a 2 piece mold. It was my first try at making a mold so I may have screwed something up as well.......
  9. There is a very small area of mold material between the head of the bait and the screw lock holder......that small part pretty much wore out very quick
  10. Thanks guys That is a good point Dave I used the high heat silicone that is red colored and the area where the screw lock 'throat' was between the coil and the head on my shakey head wore out quickly
  11. Has anyone ever tried to use high temp Lab Metal to make molds? I have a custom design I tried to use high temp silicone but the mold only lasted about 30 pours. This looks to have the consistency of jb weld or similar Thanks Jason http://www.eastwood.com/lab-metal-24-oz.html?fee=7&fep=870&SRCCODE=GA220010&adpos=1o1&creative=83580266340&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CjwKEAiA18mzBRCo1e_-y_KLpXISJACEsANG42fW25uLhsUZSlmqjmaVmN1tuvMBmtF8TaXZd41GMhoCNA3w_wcB
  12. Did anyone ever make the 32768 in 3D? If not I think I am going to wing it and go for it
  13. This is awesome gents! Thank you all for your help. I started working but did not get very far on the 32786 hook....sounds like you guys have a much better process.
  14. Those are exactly what I am looking for. I am just interested in having the proper diameter and bends in order to make a new mold. I am looking to use the mustad 32768 or 91768 in 3/0 and 4/0 for my new jig heads. I am in no way proficient in rhino, but I can do decent and we have some interns that are good at it. If no one has these I will share if interested once I make them. Thanks for all of the help and support. Grundlman aka Jason
