i think there call safety locking pliers.....i used them alot in the miltary on aircraft...like $15.bucks that would be alot quicker

i think i seen a you tube video where a guy used nails in a piece of wood to have a form and bent his wire around the form to match his lure..that seams good.....

here in michigan the hot bait is what is called a "pinkie" its tied like a buck tail but way smaller 1/32 1/16 oz....pink head , white buck fur....small bait but boy dose it catch the crappies...there sold in stores and all most all tackle and bait shops have them...they come on a card.....it kind of like a float and fly...that's how we fish them......welcome to the forum........

if i remember i think some company had a bacon scent in there plastics..just cant think of who?

well if you dont mind your bait tracking to far to the right or to far to the left then i guess you dont tune your baits....i dont see any hobbiest setting down 5k for a mold ...and if you can find it cheaper rich..please share your contacts with the rest of us...

i worked for one guy who had a 25 man shop . and kept all machines currant meaning he kept up with technology..cnc mills and lathes were on a rotation..worked for him for 15 yrs..seen 8 mills and 4 cnc lathes replaced..all were bought brand new...mazak lathes and haas mills...he made millions gave out great bonus checks ...but as he got older and made more money he forgot where he came from and who was making the money for him..all his best guys left.....and the help wanted sign dosent come down...I guess he rototed his work force to.......

I have a friend that smokes meats ,turkeys ,ducks, chickens ,ribs..and dam carp...that's right carp...im not a fish eater but love to fish . and i'll say the little taste I had wasn't bad...just hope the silver carp out there in the Midwest states catches on for eating..boy we are in trouble if not..

frank, I feel its 99% the people you work within those shops...I don't feel its the owners it the guys working for them...insecurities on there part..thats one reason I push the math skills on every new guy I train..i really feel that strong math skills will make you better then most machinist out there....and when your working for someone else that's a win win for you.....

mark, i dont think that bacon greese will work ..its not a oil you'll need to refine it ....but , bacon really works on pike..my son , when he was younger and droped off at the baby sitters house would catch pike all day long on bacon right of there dock....the real trick would be to find bacon scent...id be a buyer on that.......

frank, it will be like a new begining for me..i have been paying more attension to whats going on and looking over the shoulder of others..i glad l work in a shop that the guys will show you and are not afraid to do that..most shops let you hang because of fear... mark, im no differant on a computer..point and click thats me ...but on a cnc its totally different ..but yet the same...lol... I hope the same guys talking here will be there to talk to when I start that cad stuff.....

30 yrs in this trade. never , once have I used any cad/cam programs ..this will be a first for me.so with that said...bob, it will be interesting to see how you do your work...and I'm sure i'll learn a few things along the way..my mold I made on the mill will be the first that gets a stored program and cad/cam work done...its a hot bait but simple one....

i would say decon 2 ton is the way to go...i to carved a couple baits... im not at that point yet to seal and paint...but, have used devcon 2 ton on a few crankbaits to slow down the chipping and cracking in some baits i like to use in the rocks. and will say it works... a big difference......this will be the top coat on my carved baits as well....

i give alot of baits away...ALOT... and it works out good for me...i ask for the used stuff so its not dumped in the lakes...the madd dads are hot alot of guys ask for them...i get baits left on the end of my dock and have found a big gal.zip loc in the mail box.....i like giving to the local kids that fish by a bridge on our lake.. ill see a few fishing grab a rod and down I go with a bag full with hooks..a few bass later they start asking...just like seeing the faces light up when mr big mouth grabs on.......one time I was fishing a lake a few yrs. back and the local tournament was in swing...myself and my son were on a flat casting a kvd 2.5squarebills and just putting the smack on them when a guy fishing behind us ask what we were using ..I told him ,he didn't have the bait so I casted into his boat told him to cut the line....freebee..we left him the spot..back at the launch when they weighed in he won...came back 10 fold.....he had told all the guys about me.....got a few new friends and $50.bucks....he won $500....I was the talk for a few hrs after......every guy on that tournament came by and talked to me & my son.......well worth it...free beers loved that.......if your out to sell your baits to me hit the launches in the morning ..give some away with a card to your web site......it will work.but put your time in...be in the know about your baits sell the story and that will sell the bait...just like the pro guys do...there good talkers..you have to be to....

so you dont see a program .your drawing just makes the part...or the drawing generates a program then thats dumped to the machine.?and then you get to see it.? thinking just like master cad/cam software..?

i use a bigger cookies sheet lay them straight out and right to the fridgerator in the garage ..couple days and all good...but i have taken them next morning and they worked fine....senkos and madd dads..
