your pattern is called a ( knurl ) its used to add grip like to the ratchet you talked about.......im from up north and that flash works great in our clear lakes just as well in the stained lakes to we have both up here your bait looks great....video was great to...thanks
home depot has that tape ....
few years back i hit a garage sale and got a box full for 30 bucks all pre raps....maybe 50 in the box...plus other baits...some were painters and the good ones went to ebay for a nice profit.....
i just started doing lead and found it needs to be hot hot hot...had the same issues in my 1 oz. ball jig head mold...i head it on the max setting then back it down to 6 or 7 on my lee pot
where can i find a ultra minnow jig head mold in 1 oz...do-it sells it with all the other sizes..im not looking for those..or is there a knock off on another site just wanting 1 oz.
i have a 8 place 1/4 oz mold and having issues with 3 places in the mold that wont fill air pockets..its a do-it mold...im using a lee pot leads hot...im getting half of a sinker but it fills the whole mold...air is up 1 side..
a quick fix would be to blast them.....then you cant see the dis colored part.....lucky craft started doing this for there off colored baits...i looked closer at your bait its not burnt...looks like older plastic kind of like a regrind over and over...it starts to turn tan-ish after to many regrinds....sand blasting will fix that..but it wont be clear you'll have that cloudy look..thats is ok i like that look on baits
heres what you have...the plastic turns what is called burnt...it happens when the plastic sticks to the stud before being shot into the mold...by sticking it gets dis colored....the stud needed to be polished the grooves in the stud from turning will slow down the flow causing it to burn/off color from clear...the manufacture sold the burnt baits dirt cheap to someone and they sold them to you...like a 2nd. no fixing it..paint over the lip ...
i picked up some pro-tec pearl white powder....i pm cadman but i dont need much and hes selling by the lb.. i have a 2 oz. jar to start with...is just one coat needed then bake them..?
econo shipment from usps but my take 30 days...i got a person pissed when i shipped a sled cover to them ..there customs up north held it for 20 days then moved it along...but , you get what you pay for....i stopped shipping overseas and canada....
