  5. I used to remelt my old plastics and repore into pop molds I made and sealed with spray enamel and also molds I made with bondo my question is what other products do you use to seal pop molds I usually just let them dry for up to two weeks before use don't pour plastics much just when I build up a lot of old plastics but thinking about making a swim bait mold

They all look great you do good work
  9. I've used center hole punches that work well as long as they are sharp and a set of these gives you multiple sizes it is more work though

Bass100 I have the doit leadhead mold it has cavitys from3/8 to 3/4 ounce I believe I usually pour 3/8 & 1/2 ounce I will take one 1/2 and one 3/8 and make a double rig but thinking about using a 3/8 lead for the first head and making an epoxy head for the second to reduce the weight I usually powder paint the heads but didn't bake the last ones and the finish didn't last one trip but they were for my personal use so no biggie

I missed the blade size question I use 3s to 4s it's according to how many blades I'm using on the ten blade I use 2s and 3s to get my spacing for blade movement I use smaller blades on the crappie rigs that I throw like a spinnerbait

Mags as for the crimp if you use heatshrink over them you can't see what they look like and it eliminates the sharp edges I also use heatshrink on my swivels sometimes seems to keep the baits from snagging each other as much because the swivel stays straighter

Apdriver I use leader crimps I believe they are size two bought them at fishnstuff I'm sure you know where that is if you can't find them I'm sure Vince can order them as far as hooks go I like lightwire bottom weight ed hooks to texas rig my swimbaits and ball heads on grubs not sure about doitmold haven't been pouring my own.with the texas rigged baits I do miss more fish if I Hookset the rig instead of just leaning into it if I'm to quick with it it takes me awhile to adjust. I have used different swivels for the blades and honestly didn't see much difference between the more expensive ones and the cheaper ones if the blades can turn they will in my opinion ballbearings or not

Bass100 I agree with you on the silicone mold head being to big that's why I ordered the smaller rig but they sent me the other I will have to check out their aluminum mold I've got some of their harnesses but haven't used the mold in awhile how does the aluminum head compare to the silicone mold. Apdriver I just can't seem to pick the right day if I pick Sat the weather's bad if I pick Sun same thing was going to Pendleton today but this recent front changed my mind just going to have to go no matter what if I wait for the best days they will never come

I usually order the 195lb rated wire and the .41 diameter wire I believe in coils from barlowes but it's been awhile I also use a smaller wire for the crappie rigs that I get from work it's all stainless but some of it is made brownish in color I haven't ordered wire in two years so I can't remember the brandname on the package but I know it had a pic of a shark on it. Apdriver have you fished in this crazy weather we have had this winter I'm just south of you pinebluff area. Bass100 I have the mold your using also I like it but I ordered the smaller one they sent me the large one instead decided to keep it anyway what resin are you using to pour your heads I've used the allumalite product but thinking about trying famawood in it not sure if it will be to thin to set up right. Have you tried making your own wire forms for the mold I poured some awhile back with my own forms turned out good cheaper than buying theirs don't have any pics of them and the last ones gone

    Brush Types

No with the cheap brushes when you are done applying your epoxy just cut the end off and use the stick for mixing your next batch of epoxy only advantage is you don't have to buy mixing sticks works for me just going to try a brush with more bristles to try to pop more air bubbles in my finish coat
  25. If I'm not mistaken I recently read an article on this frog (can't remember the magazine) written by the creators son I assume this would be joe where he shows you how to tie it with illustrations I will try to find it again but I am interested in the video info
