For life like finishes for lures, http://www.jigskinz.com . They have a large assortment.
  3. Has anybody used Createx's AutoBorne Sealers? http://www.autoborne.com/sealer.html
  4. I buy mine at Lowe's. They stock it on the shelf on the aisle that has all the home cleaning supplies.
  5. Thank you Professor Dave. A very eye opening reply. I'm putting it into the " Check back to often" file folder
  6. It's SolarBaits, I've watched all his YouTube videos on making and painting baits. Can't remember the name but I think it's a European made paint.
  7. Know anyone that has a CNC router. It makes quick work out of making lips. I have use of one, hope to build my own this summer. The lips always turn out the same no matter how many you cut or out of any material you use (lexan or circuit board for me).
  8. Save the image, then zoom in. Looks like he used netting or screen. Overall, it's a great looking bait.
  9. I do my foil similar to DaveG except for the scale pattern. I do that last by taking the handle of a jewelers screwdriver and rolling it over the foiled bait.
  10. Checkout page 4 of topic " hard bait cookbook ". There is a post that talks about micro balloons, I think he uses 4.5% of total weight.
  11. I posted earlier, as far as I know, they want your email just for sending the e-mag directly to you so you don't have to go out on the web to get it.

Good job on all your lures. What's your favorite craw pattern?
  17. It's my understanding the email is so they can send the magazine to you when it's released for publication and that's all. I was told the publisher was in contact with the admin of this blog to let them know he wasn't competing against the blog in know way, shape or form. For what it's worth
  18. A new Custom Bait E-Magazine that features some of TU's very own tackle makers. https://www.joomag.com/magazine/custom-baits-magazine-volume-1-issue-1/0217904001425606469 Open on a computer, they are not formatted for mobile devices.
  19. Watched a YouTube video on airbrushing, he recommended using a commercial made thinner/reducer. He said water or water mixes degraded the paint and the paint would fade over a short time. Has anyone had any problems?
  20. Go to Createx website and look at there different paints color charts. Your 10 turns into 20 by using white or black base coat.
  21. From KBS website: NOTE: Do not apply DiamondFinish in wet or high heat/humidity conditions to avoid too rapid curing. Do not apply DiamondFinish too thick or too soon between coats. In each of these instances, surface bubbling may result as released carbon dioxide becomes entrapped beneath the top surface layer of paint.
