  13. Wooden, I would like to paint Like Colors, Ziggy colors, and some C.B. colors. I am trying to develope my own color recipe, for St. Lawrence, $9 Bass, Walleye, and a White Belly Perch. Thanks, Captain Tom Megna STRICTLY FISHIN'
  14. Scribe Bill, I don't use wire thru for Musky Lures. There are mixed feelings about wire-thru, by many people. I think I will stick to epoxy for 0.92 as screw eyes. I have not had a problem yet. Thanks, Captain Tom Megna
  15. I am trying to make a worm from different bits and pieces of other worms. I have pieced one together, it was a finesse worm with a round head and a ribbed body with a paddle tail 4.5 " long. I am still a newbie at mold and soft worms. When I made the molds, I had lots of trouble trying to make one. I tried P.O.P.& Alumilite III, along with a Smooth-On product Oomoo-30. The P.O.P. had a flat bottom, and the head was not round. The detail was terrible. I am trying to make a one piece mold. I have checked the mold manufacturers sites and they don't have one. I can't afford an expensive mold. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom Megna.
  16. I make 6" and 8" musky lures out of jelutong. I am looking for a walleye paint pattern. I also need Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, and it also would be nice to have a Bluegill recipe. I make these baits for Lake St Clair, Michigan. I have tried to use taxidermy fish paint schedules, but they did not work. Thanks in advance, Captain Tom.
  17. PAT I LIKE YOUR IDEA. THANKS. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. TOM MEGNA
  18. I used heavy nails with heads cut off. Then I epoxied the nails into the board. The nails still bent off. Them problem is I used 0.060 wire, same as bucktails I make. Here I used a Hagen's Wire Former. It doesn't seem to work for a Musky Lure Wire. Thanks for the help. TIGHT LINES Captain Tom Megna.
  19. I have worked with powder paints and the best technical support was from a gentleman named Mike in tech support at Component Systems. They manufacture more powder paint than anybody. Hope this helps. Capt. Tom Megna
