  1. http://www.barlowstackle.com/30-Degree-Jig-Hooks-Heavy-Wire-C75.aspx I use the EC and the Mustad versions.

  3. You modifying the mold or just laying these under the hook?
  4. some are meant for hand pouring. Laid out flat or those that have top feed ports.
  5. Amazon, bought two so I can keep them rotated and clean. Tight seal around the face to keep the fumes from the eyes and just in case I have a splash.
  6. Real 6008. I also bought some Harley orange. When I want to brown the 6008 some I add it until I get the color I want. I also use their mirror black. for watermelon I bought some JD green and cut it with some black or the rap 6008 to get a color I want. All make a good contrast second color.
  7. Teflon pins in, paint and cure with the teflon pin in. After cured, remove pin and pack for skirting and weed guard in later. Paint on the pins: bend them a little a peel/slide off.
  8. https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Medical-Dental-Graduated-Carton/dp/B00O36L5OW/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&qid=1489076496&sr=8-23&keywords=graduated+10+ounces+disposable+cup Not exactly sure how many you wanted.. These are free shipping and there are more options on Amazon. Found some at Hobby Lobby once for small amounts.
  9. I use the drop out as well. Ended up filing the barbs larger It helped.
  10. Mirror black from Columbia coating is a breeze to apply and hard as steel. I use it in small portions to cut my green/brown to make it apply the same way. Wish s hi could find a clear "cutter" with the same qualities as my black.
  11. Maybe. This maybe only a small piece of the business plan. Not sure though. Some pretty good molds he produces. Agree with Frank. Hard telling what else he/they cut.
  12. For what it is worth, my technique is: i use teflon pins as well. Once in awhile a weed guard is too big, I just swap for another and it usually fits. If not I insert the tip of my closed needle nose that opens the cured powder paint around the hole opening to allow for a tight fit. The glue acts as a lube as stated above. I found not all weed guards are the same and do not contain the same number of bristles. And the makers sometimes are color blind as there are variations on their shades.
  13. Wally, I do not have this mold but a couple of others that have holes. I suspect with the correct tools it will laminate.
  14. I have a couple of different molds that have holes that I use a soldering iron/gun to touch and hold together.
  15. https://www.btsmolds.com/injectors/ http://www.bearsbaits.com/Hand-Injectors_p_96.html http://stores.jacobsbaits.com/hand-injectors/ There maybe more out there. Recommend one with the safety pin.
  16. I use the magnet strips and they stay put. This is the Swing jig mold but with some trimming it will work. Score the hook indents you make after you squeeze the mold close with the hooks in and they will assist in holding the hook in place.
  17. Appears to be getting worse JLS. Pretty harsh to use the word steal. If it is put out there then it will be replicated and possibly improved. Not sure of how much original is out there left, maybe one or two a year that mostly is sold via hype and marketing. Now from your definition, one would have to forge or cast their own hooks, plastic inject their own design for a crank, bend their own wire, stamp their own blades, twist their own snap swivels, shape their own balsa, etc. I agree with AP and many one the site, it is all about the crafting, modification, own colors for a hobby. As for stealing; the big manufactures are doing it daily, within the law.

  19. EB, yes that works as well as the wire form for the PT Swing head. Either reversing or just cutting the wire on the bottom and attaching the blade.
  20. Many questions. They make them but can you fill a ten cavity mold with the equipment you have? What injector do you have? System? I use many four cavity plus worm molds but about 8 (2 molds) is all my 6 or 7 ounce injectors will fill without error. Provide some more details.
  21. Adding some fresh plastisol helps as well. ^ I make most a darker color or mix like colors with my old sprue a to make a one of a kind not to be replicated "trash" color!
