  1. Hey guys I was wondering if there is a way to keep your plastic hot after you warm it up in a microwave. I noticed when I heat up my plastic I get a lot of air bubbles when first warm it up. So I just wait a minute for most of them to just come to the surface and p.o.p. But when I shoot my plastic by the time my plastic is cool and I have to warm it up again. So I have to do the same thing over and wait for the air bubbles to dissipate. I just want to heat it once and keep it warm until I am done using it so it stays liquid.
  2. Yeah Baitjunkys soft is really good. It is cheaper than the other brands and I noticed that it doesn't yellow. I don't know about other guys but all the plastic I have ever bought from them doesn't really float. I am starting to think that it doesn't really matter if it floats or not.
  3. Thanks guys. I was thinking the same thing Getting Bit. http://www.lurecraft.com/Plastic-Mold-404/productinfo/5X404/ I was thinking about getting that mold.
  4. Hey everyone I started getting into Bass fishing and I want to get some hand pour molds. I don't know why but I just like hand pouring more than using a injection mold. I was wondering if I can get any suggestions from you guys who hand pour for Bass fishing and what molds I should get.
  5. I know that this is late and you probably already took the other guys advice. I am going to tell you what I use anyway. Petroleum jelly. When I bought my injector for Baitjunkys that is what the note that came with it said to oil up the o ring with.
  6. I got to try that recipe myself. Thanks Monte
  7. Hey emptystriger I want to throw in my recipe. I use 4:2:1 ratio to make my stick baits. It goes in this order Plastic:Salt:Softner. I use Baitjunkys soft and it makes a pretty good stick bait. It falls just like a real Sinko but it is a little softer so they don't spit it. And I like to use this salt http://www.amazon.com/Morton-Salt-popcorn-salt-3-75-oz/dp/B004AY25P0 . That popcorn salt works really good you don't have to grind it up to make it suspend. When you grind up regular salt it gets real clumpy and you will get clumps of salt in your stick bait. It is also less cloudy then ground salt. I have to be honest and tell you that I don't really Bass fish and I am just getting into it. But my friend who is the owner of that Stick bait mold uses that recipe and loves it.
  8. Man Skimpy I didn't want to have to say this but your videos are shit. THE SHIT you make some damn good videos.
  9. Yeah Monte I agree. I use a glove and a rag because they get super hot.
  10. I asked about the Norpro silicone cups a couple months ago and I just used them. They work just like everyone says. My plastic stays hot longer and when I clipped the cup it has a narrow pouring spout. In my opinion they are way better for pouring then the Pyrex cups.
  11. Hey getting bit you live in So Cal. I also live in So Cal. It is funny that was the next mold I was going to buy. I started hand pouring more seriously and ordered some silicone molds from lurecraft. They are pretty cheap and work good. I was thinking about getting these molds. http://www.lurecraft.com/Plastic-Mold-404/productinfo/5X404/ http://www.lurecraft.com/Plastic-Mold-553/productinfo/5X553/ Honestly I never used a sluggo because they stopped selling them out here before I started fishing. All of my friends that are older then me tell me how good they worked. So I figured I will just make my own.
  12. Yeah small jaw you need to use firefox. I have the same problem and that is how I fixed it.
  13. You are welcome. Thank you for the baits.
  14. Ok I am going to give a shout out to Basscandy92040. When I first met him on this forum I noticed that he had a website and that he sold some lures to catch saltwater bass. So recently I got into it and started fishing the harbor near my house. So I contacted him and asked him if I can buy some curly tail lures to catch the sand bass. He hooked me up for free and I tried them out tonight. They kicked butt! http://s296.photobucket.com/user/RayColon/media/IMG_20150608_015648_zpsbojvnq5h.jpg.html http://s296.photobucket.com/user/RayColon/media/IMG_20150608_015112_zpsslvdhdd7.jpg.html http://s296.photobucket.com/user/RayColon/media/IMG_20150608_015052_zpsnruq4vqa.jpg.html It kind of sucks though when you are catching fish and you get kicked out of a spot by security because I was fishing in a a no fishing zone. But oh well. Anyways thanks Basscandy and If a forum member hooks you up with a lure take a pic and don't be like the ingrates you give your baits too.
  15. BADASS. I love this I still want someone use something I make and say it kicks ass. I gave away stick baits to one of my buddy's and he said that he will take a pic of the fish he caught with them but he never sent me anything either. I get this feeling he was going to use them and then he thought they weren't as good as a Senko and just bought a pack and threw my stuff to the side.
  16. First I just want to say I am glad we are cool DF1. Ok now I forgot to mention how long I hold pressure. I know this is going to sound crazy but I hold that sucker for 2 minutes. I tried less and it didn't help at all so I just figured hold pressure until the plastic becomes solid and there will be no chance of it ending up with dents. When you guys first told me to hold pressure I didn't know how long so I just keep trying different times until it worked.
  17. DF1 I was just kidding when I said that. You are right I didn't search there forum to see what other people said I just figured no one complained because the problem wasn't fixed. I checked like you said and I see that there are guys that had that problem. I take back what I said and I am sorry.
  18. Hey thanks Vodkaman. And Dave I agree with you. I don't like the fact that I have to hold pressure with the injector for the baits to come out right. I just wanted to let you guys know that it does help if you are having that problem. And I am still going to try and open up the gates when I get a chance so I won't have to do that anymore. I think I will send Do it a e-mail to let them know that they need to take care of that. I am surprised that more people don't mention that on there forum. But maybe they are just a bunch of yes men.
  19. I got to take back what I said before DaveMc about holding pressure. I got tired of waiting to get my dremel so I tried doing what you said again but I shot with the plastisol at the temperature I normally shoot. I read on this forum about how I should shoot with cooler plastic and I also read that I should hold pressure so I combined the two ideas and it didn't work. But this time when I shot my plastic at the temp I usually heat it but held pressure they came out without dents.
  20. That took a minute for my brain to wrap around what you just said but I think I understand now.
  21. Thanks guys. No wonder it took so long to dry I left the door closed.
  22. I wonder if that will work myself. When I was searching through this forum for advice someone mentions that.
