  1. Attached is an excellent SBS of Maciej Dukacz's lure dryer with stackable lure frames. ( He is also an accomplished lure maker ) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=obrpxUrP85k
  2. So true Mark. Getting stuck with too much inventory is what kills retailers. Uncle Sam will tax inventory whether it is used or not. Many companies will scrap or sell inventories at pennies on the dollar to reduce inventory. Excellent company models mimic McDonalds. They use their inventory and get paid for their finished goods before they pay their supplier for the inventory.

Didn't think to ask..... is this a floating lure? If so, I bet it's explosive and heart stopping!

I like your attention to detail. I had no idea fish would eat turtles, very innovative. I guess fish mentality is. . ... if it fits eat it!
  5. Check these videos out for low volume low cost lure solutions. http://www.makelure.com/store/pg/54-How-To-Videos.aspx#prettyPhoto
  6. Just go to Home Depot or Lowes with your hose. Tell someone at the help desk you are bringing the hose into the store to get an adaptor, and ask for help. They have experts in every department. Saves you time and frustration.
  7. Look forward to hear how you do. I think the style in the big picture is a killer because all those skinny legs will undulate. Are the floaters hollow?
  8. I looked at the manual. A tighter temp range is accomplished by adjusting the hysteresis of Out2/AL2. Factory setting is 1 and normally about 20/30 seconds. Setting Out2/AL2 for less than 1 will cause the relays to turn on and off more often and provide a tighter temp range.
  9. It's bound to drive the fish nuts. With all those legs it will act like a fly fishing woolly bugger.
  10. This mold looks like a custom. Why not make your own mold from your sample bait? Check out the video, looks simple enough. https://youtu.be/o36KPvqIK-4?rel=0 Vac-50 by makelure.com gives anglers a way to produce a soft plastic injection mold for a fraction of the cost of aluminum molds. This video demonstrates the steps to make your own injection mold.
  11. Bob is three weeks considered full cure and fishable for DN S81?
  12. Nice channel cat. Did you make your jig and soft plastic?
  13. It could be any number of things 1. Surface contamination either at the uncoated lure or before top coating. 2. Paint not completely dry 3. DK not fully cured
  14. Interesting ones Fatman. That mold looks real nice, what are the weights?
  15. I would like to see a pic of your Ultra Minnow mod. This is a pic of some I modified. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/image/16179-ultra-minnow-underspin-mod/
  16. Pretty easy. Look @ configure & price punch in your requirement and get an estimate.
  17. Thanks, I guess it's best to keep willow blade small like a size 3.

  19. Maybe we are witnessing the beginning of a new era. Probably because of Donald Trump.
  20. I haven't done it and I understand your logic, but this guy made it work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlBpPPH7T38
  21. That one broad-sided me! My wife was wondering what I was laughing at.
  22. Smalljaw thanks for the heads up on slowing down the speed, great reading. Just so I understand, you are using the horse head under spins correct?
  23. Great comments. 1. Air: Can be successfully removed with proper venting. 2. Salt: Use scents instead. 3. Glitter: You got me on this one. Maybe added as a dip coat.
  24. This guy has some great skills we can mimic as lure makers. His two videos explain the tools and techniques used in the Vulcanizing Process. This method should cast most stuff we use: Soft plastic, hard plastic, lead etc. 1. How Miniatures are Born https://youtu.be/IYVIVzCmH10 2. Vulcanizing Molds https://youtu.be/70QGqNMPZJw
