  1. I have the enforcer 8" ribbontail mold and I really like it. Its a little smaller in diameter than say a Culprit or Berkley ribbon tail but it is a really good bait. I usually fish it on a shakey head.
  2. I have some top inject molds and they don't seem to produce as consistent of a bait under as wide a range of variables as does a side inject mold.
  3. I know which ones you're talking about and they certainly float and aren't made out of normal plastic or it has a bunch of something else in it. They are stiffer but not a lot harder than the regular ribbit. It's a weird consistency for sure.
  4. Yeah I definitely get that. There are things that are too time consuming to bother with "selling" but if I feel like it gives me an advantage I will take however long to make them. I just feel like "Is this worth it" is a question you at least need to ask yourself.
  5. And that just seems like waaaay too much time to spend making a few baits. I was doing a similar thing putting a few BBs in frogs for a couple friends who like to fish the frog like a fluke and it just simply wasn't worth the time to mess with it. Eventually you have to value your time at least a little even if you're like me and your time is useless haha!
  6. Mad dad chunk would probably work well for ya. Possibly the 2.5" craw from enforcer??
  7. What are y'all wrapping the weedguards to the shank of the hook with? I mocked one up last night using 25lb mono as the weed guard and just wrapped it in fly tying thread. I know I'd have to put some epoxy on it or something else I was just wondering what y'all use to tie them up. Also do you think shrink wrap could be used to secure the weedguards? Thanks guys.
  8. I have the hand pour diamond tail from Del. Really easy to pour up a bunch and the price is right to!!
  9. The essential series from Do-It but you may wanna look at getting a saltwater series of plastisol if you are only gonna be making baits for saltwater.
  10. I make a few shrimp tails, just from a lurecraft open pour mold. They work and for the price of those molds you can get a couple and make quite a few baits in a short period of time. Caught a few flounder, reds, ladyfish, and bluefish on them. For the price of a pack of gulps you can buy a 4 cavity mold. Im certainly no saltwater fisherman but I do cast a lure around occasionally when I'm sheepshead fishing and these work fine for me.
  11. Yeah you can get some really nice ones made up at a sign shop for very cheap, especially after you pay the little fee to come up with the image.
  12. Why you gotta ask smart questions like that Mark haha!?!?
  13. I have Dels open pour 6.25" diamond tail mold. I am really terrible at hand pouring and they come out kinda ugly at times but I catch plenty of fish on em. With no sprue or injector plugs you don't have to mix up much plastic to make a bag of worms and I do like that.
  14. I have never had the tip come out going from mold to mold nor have I ever had the tip come out into the bowl of plastic. It is really simple, hold the tip with one hand and inject with the other. Yes it is hot so you can't do it without gloves on but why the $#!@ would you be doing this with no gloves on anyway?
  15. The 8" Enforcer ribbontail worm is a great worm but it is much thinner bodied than say a big Zoom or Culprit worm. I usually fish the enforcer worm on a shakey head. I don't know about the thickness of the 10" Enforcer worm though.
  16. I usually try and wait at least 24hrs but I prefer a couple days. However, if they aren't bagged properly they will be kinked up no matter how long you let them cure.
  17. Well the fun police are gonna show up any minute. Can't post pictures except in the gallery. I'm not complaining but somebody will soon enough. Those are some excellent looking baits though!!
  18. I have the 706 craw mold and I LOVE it. It has a nice action that is a little more subtle than most "action" craws. I dunno, just figured I'd throw another option at ya!
  19. Thanks guys for the replies. I'm gonna certainly give it a try. Probably gonna order some this week. Thanks again!
  20. I havent tried Enforcers hog baits but I have Bob's 4.5" hog molds and I probably caught as many fish on that in the last year as all my other lures combined. Hogs are a very versatile bait and imitates a lot of different forage.
  21. Just a few questions about the plastic. I have been using the essential series since I started and was very impressed....was. The last two 2.5gal batches I purchased bubble like crazy and I was just looking for an alternative. How does the medium bait junkies compare to the essential series in regards to softness? Also does it have problems with hard packing and if so how do youmix it in those bottles with the small opening? I know this is a bunch of newbie questions but I'm just tired of dealing with a crap load of micro bubbles especially in "clearer" colors. Thanks in advance guys.
  22. Send him a message and ask for some samples. He will send ya some if you pay for shipping I believe. That way you can have the lure in your hand before you make the investment to buy the mold. That would be my advice.
  23. That's one thing I noticed myself. Pretty much all I have is watermelon, green pumpkin, black, and white. Obviously I have a few off the wall colors here and there but I try and keep it simple for myself. Keeps the decision making to a minimum on the water and I think that makes me a more efficient angler.
  24. I had 8 of his molds and just got ten more. Now I just need to get done moving so I can shoot up some baits. Great molds and even better customer service, keep up the good work Curt!
  25. What is a product style worm? Can you post a link or anything or a picture? That would help a lot.
