  1. Thanks, after getting frustrated on CAD i moved to paper and pencil and was surprising happy with the outcomes. Going to get it laminated then scan it to my computer. Also with the laminated templates I can just copy them for the layouts.
  2. Before i have usually just searched the internet for templates and printed them out. But i want to move to creating my own shapes. What programs does everyone use? I found an educational version of AutoCAD that I'm going to try out. Anyone have any experience with it or other programs?
  3. Lures are being sealed overnight, but I am wondering what or if I should use primer for paint at all. At first i was going to paint over the D2T/ and wood finish. But after watching videos and looking on here a lot of people mention priming the bait. Do i need to do this? and if so will creator's opaque white do the trick to give me a clean slate to start with or is the D2T finish enough?
  4. I just put epoxy on 3 lures tonight and hung them up. Currently flipping them every 5 minutes or so and no drips. I did so thin coat Bc I plan on painting and then coating another time or two but a turner does seem much more convienent
  5. Hey guys, I just started getting into this. As of now the hardest part I am having right now is finding an epoxy that is thin enough that I can work with, yet won't need a turner since I don't have one yet. I have a couple lures shaped, wired, and ready to be sealed before I paint them. I've looked over the internet and some of the threads here and it seems to me that Devcon 2 Ton (30 min) will be my best bet (please tell me if I'm wrong). And if this is the best way to go, will hanging the lure from one of the eye hooks be sufficient enough to allow the epoxy to cure? Any other suggestions are very much welcomed & appreciated!
