  1. have any of you guys made a mold modification to allow you to make swing jigs with the Fastach style? I'm thinking about doing this but wondered if anyone had pictures of a mold or guidance on it? thanks, travis
  2. Well they canceled my order and jacked the price back up. Must of been a mistake, they had the 20 pound non bottom pour for the same price. Wished they would of honored my purchase but guess not. Sorry for the trouble on here, was just trying to help my friends on here out by passing on a good deal.
  3. I bend mine and use a split ring *trokar swim jig mold* and mine have an erratic hunting action. And Jeff is correct the more I use them the better they "hunt". I do however power paint mine but I don't bake them.
  4. I stumbled on Lee Production Pots, the 10 pound one for $14 with free shipping on amazon. Grabbed myself one for a back up but there are more left. That's about a $50 savings if anyone is interested.
  5. here is one I made last night with a VMC 7346 special wide gap in 6/0. it's not to bad. I know I need to straightedge then bait out, just took a quick picture. This is a 4.8 Keitech fat impact
  6. I found some 9/0 wide gap and I have those but I was looking to see if there was something bigger in the straight gap. Do you know if a 60 degree hook will work in there?
  7. Wanting to make a swimbait head for 6 and 7 inch swimbaits like the 3:16 rising sons and jenko booty shakers
  8. I can't seem to find a 30 degree straight shank hook bigger than 5/0 do they exist? If not does a 60 degree work in that mold?
  9. I wax with candle wax a lot but I haven't ever set it on fire. I pour in my garage so I'm scared to light it on fire. am I messing up by just letting it smoke? (I do open the doors and back away when it smokes though)
  10. are you using a wide gap or straight hook? if wide gap are you just leaving it exposed and if so is your hook up ratio pretty good?
  11. I gave in and bought a used Poison tail Jig head mold last night. It goes to 1 oz. I don't need anymore flipping jigs, swim jigs or vibrating jigs. I kind of bought this to tinker with thinking maybe I could transform it into a swimbait head mold? like for throwing 5 to 7 inch swimbaits, I ordered some 6/0, 8/0 and 9/0 hooks for it last night. Anyone done anything like this with theirs that they care to share? push come to shove i'll put a screw lock in it and use it for big worm fishing in the summer. Figured it might be fun to modify and mess around with. But looking to see if anyone has done anything similar?
  12. I want to buy some sort of a weedless swimbait mold, open pour. maybe 6 to 7 inches, possibly even 5. Can you buy something like that? I'm not sure I can figure out how to make a mold like I see others doing, if you can't buy it is there a place that will make you a mold for one. I'm talking only one or two molds, hand pour for my use only.
  13. I will be using the split ring. I notice on my trokar swim jig head the paint is chipped on the edges also so I know it's making contact and has an awesome erratic movement. My goal was to make a bigger/heavier "bladed jig" for fishing deep water points especially in the summer. give them perhaps a little different look. Thanks for the info I sure appreciate it!
  14. I am using the Trokar Swimjig mold for my chatterbaits and just love it! I just ordered some bigger blades and want to try attach them to a 3/4 ounce football head for deep summer fishing, has anyone tried this on a football head mold to see if it will work?
