  1. This mold is a 5 cavity for $142.00 from baitmold.com
  2. Calhoun is more of a neutral plastic or very slow sink. MF has a great floating plastic but it's more than double the price. I received a new sample of Polysol medium formula & it's not bad. It floats, but slowly & the price is comparable with Calhoun.
  3. Spinning fast introduces air to the plastic & the smaller blades doesn't keep all of the plastic moving causing partial burning of the plastic during big runs.
  4. Looks like plum/green pumpkin laminate.
  5. I've been looking at quite a few pictures of this color & it looks to be a green pumpkin/green pumpkin w/blue hi-lite & blue pearl powder laminate. When you use both pearl blue powder & hi-lite you get the blue outer sheen along with a deeper blue sparkle. Some pictures I've seen have been true laminates, while others have had a swirled look. To get the swirled look, just run the green pumpkin w/blue side a lot cooler than the green pumpkin side when you dual inject. Should give it some swirl..
  6. Our Morning Dawn Shimmer uses blue hi-lite over the blue & violet hi-lite over the pink.
  7. They are machined aluminum. His stone molds are more like the essential series.
  8. We use Bear's. We run them 4-8 hours a day with no problems.
  9. Yep, that dreaded end of the year inventory & property tax. Had to do all the inventory last weekend. Glad it's only once a year.
  10. Looks like standard motor oil, not the color changing type.
  11. I'm not saying that the degassed is best for the microwave. I'm just saying that you shouldn't have much trouble with the regular as long as you stir lightly. You're going to get some air in the degassed when you shake & mix it anyway.
  12. I don't use a microwave for big runs so I just use regular. The only time I use a microwave is for small color samples and I still don't see any problems with it. Just stir lightly.
  13. Glonation is my go to for glow powder. Really great stuff & fast shipping for me since we are located in the same state.
  14. If you're using a microwave you'll need a fine salt such as popcorn salt or flour salt. You may also want to add a little softener to your mix. Adding salt will stiffen up the plastic some.
  15. Using white coloring you'll still get a shiny look. If you want a dull bright white use white chalk powder.
  16. Bass Tackle makes a couple of tube molds. I've had a few of them & they shoot great.
  17. I also saw the kelly green. I may have to order all three colors of glitter & do some sample shots.
  18. I was thinking either the emerald green or the evergreen glitter. I may have to order both & some of the spike it junebug. I have allot of customers waiting on this color.
  19. What coloring & glitter best matches Zoom's Junebug? I've tried black grape & it's not even close. The black grape has a slight red hue while the Zoom color has more of a blue hue. I've also tried Do-it's Junebug & it a little better but still isn't a solid enough match for me. I've also noticed Zoom's green glitter is a little brighter than the moss green I have, so that may also be what's throwing off the color.
  20. My daughter loves tearing up the white bass with the Do-It 2.5" Swim Fry. She prefers chartreuse with red flake or hot pink with red flake. We'll switch to holo purple smoke when gunning for crappie. You just can't beat the swim fry......
  21. Yep, you can mix them. Bait Junkies plastic is just repackaged Calhoun so it shouldn't be a problem.
  22. Something like this? It's a smoke with a purple hi-lite & holographic silver glitter.
  23. Thanks for the heads up. Just got my order in.....

    Scents

Some say it hardens the baits but I've never had any problems during testing. It could be the type of plastic I've been using.
  25. I opened the gates on the first six cavities & they shoot great! Now just fourteen more to go. lol Now the only problem I'm having is that the aluminum gums up the grinding stones really fast.
