  1. It was actually bought at a company liquidation. It was a prototype bait they were working on before they shut down. I don't have allot tied up in it as they did. I'd just like to get it to work.
  2. My problem is that when they cut the mold they made the gates long & small diameter. The gates are probably about 1/4 inches long. I need to take some pics.
  3. I just purchased a one of a kind finesse production mold & I'm having problems with denting. I know the problem is coming from the gates being small. What would be the best way to make the gates bigger other than just spending all day cutting them out with a grinding stone or cutting wheel. I know that's probably my only option but does anyone else have any other suggestions?
  4. The best looking one I've found is the Do-It Fork Tail. It's also a four cavity while most others are three.
  5. I've been waiting also. I know last year he did a Thanksgiving sale.
  6. I like Do-It's wide tail design on their ribbon tails. They have lots of movement.
  7. You would have to make some sort of turntable to spin the mold, but it would work.
  8. I've got a Do-It 14" Ribbon Tail mold for sale.
  9. Does it happen with both molds or just one? It sounds like the mold may not be petfectly straight when injecting. When you have small legs & slightly thicker claws like the mud bug it has to be perfectly straight when injecting. I may get one out of 50 come out similar to what you are describing but usually just a slightly thinner color on one side.
  10. I'd have to see a picture to know what you're talking about. I shoot lots of 3.75 Mud Bugs in laminates & never had any problems. All are single cavity.
  11. Looks like a green pumpkin brown over a light watermelon with black & red flake in both from the pictures I've seen.
  12. Here's a pic of the Slick Willie 3.5" & 5"
  13. The slick Willie is a great mold. I've got a couple of the 5" pro molds myself. They are also deadly on a shakey head.
  14. I did that once trying to do some sexy shad drop shots. Instead of grabbing blue, I grabbed our grape punch coloring. Ended up with a light purple with chartreuse laminate. I just called it big sexy & it ended up being one of our top selling colors in our drop shots. Sometimes a mistake ends up being something great.
  15. The Do-It Mad Dads have good action & you'll have them in a couple of days. If you like big craws the 5" XC is great.
  16. I've had more luck on the 706 than the 702. It really depends on where your at. I know selling them, I sold more 706's than 702's 10 to 1. If you like the flap of the Rage Craw, go 706. If you like the flop of the paca Craw go 702.
  17. If you like the Rage craw, get the 706. Those flap like crazy.
  18. I just got another sample today of the soft. If they have fixed the oily issue, we may switch. I know the pricing that I was quoted doesn't match the price sheet that came with the sample. Probably will have to talk about that.
  19. My over all favorite mold for under $60 would be the Do-It 3.75 Mud Bug. It has a great realistic profile & action. Caught lots of fish on that one.
  20. Looks like plum with MF rainbow glitter.
  21. It would make swirled & marbled baits a whole lot easier by pouring in two colors at once.
  22. Do-It 14" 2 cavity Ribbon Tail Price reduced to $110.00 shipped (retails $149.50)
  23. yep, they shoot great with twin injector.
  24. I had problems with purple till I got some black grape from Lurecraft. So far it hasn't been an issue. I've been running 5 cup to gallon batches.
  25. Coffee grounds work. That's what Strike King uses in their baits. I'll use coffee grounds when someone custom orders coffee scent. Just remember to use it in darker colored baits. Coffee will darken lighter colors.
