  1. I can look into getting some samples from them but prices tend to be the same as what it costs me after shipping and exchange. Typically I prefer buying direct from US and take a bit of a hit on our dollar then to buy from a Canadian company buying from the US and marking me up 50-100%. 60$ for the oval splits on luremaking
  2. look up fishal customs on facebook. Bill benzin does some of the best "hand drawn" craw patterns.
  3. Whats LPO. I will look into it. And janns craft. I may just be ordering with one of my blank suppliers, so far barlows and worth have quoted me $44 to ship 3000 rings
  4. Worth split rings are very nice. I received samples last week but cannot afford to order because the high shipping cost to canada. For bass guys worth's oval #5s are the same as unpaintedlures has on his site. The #2 and #3 regular Stainless Steel seem good for most my applications, consisting of lures 2-5 inches long with hook sizes 6-2

    SF baits gizzard shad

I can never get my scales to look like that. Great work
  6. I would love to get my hands on one of these in canada. I like the body idea, possibly some sort of injection foam?
  7. Do you recommend silicone over plaster of Paris molds? I'm thinking of giving it a try and POP seems very simple minus a bit more time to complete the mold. Side note if a dried out a crayfish on my dock for a few days and coated in Vaseline could i turn that into a mold?
  8. It's 44$ for shipping to Canada for the 3000 rings i want. I guess I just can't win.
  9. Worth #5 oval split rings are identical to unpainted lures. The #2 and #3 SS splits I don't know because i have not purchased them from him but I am going with the standard gauge vs the fine gauge. They a seem very well suited for jerks and cranks 2-5 inches, a bit heavier then wolf wire on captainhookswarehouse and they don't lose form as easily. Hope that helps. *the sizing chart they sent me was awesome.
  10. I don't know much of soft baits but i have recently read on other forums that GE silicone wasn't working and guys were using a Sealer type instead. Something about the GE silicone making the baits hard maybe. I had googled DIY soft baits. good place to start if your waiting on the experts
  11. I just checked their international package prices and that was priced for a 3lb package. Depending on where you are shipping from prices can get ridiculous, it is actually cheaper for me to ship my painted lures to the USA($8CAD) then to ship them 2 hours west of where I live ($14CAD). There would most likely still be some taxes or duties, I was going to buy some jig molds to make it worth while ordering but with the Canadian dollar being so low I will have to find a different route. *Important Note* I contacted worth directly about the rings I was interested in and they sent me some free samples and a sizing chart. I ask for the #2,3,4 SS rings and the #5 zinc oval. Will update you all when I can determine the proper size and strength.
  12. was ordering from balrows but they wanted 48$ to ship to canada..... so now i'm emailing worth to see if they can help me out Keep me updated if you have any success
  13. I'm also looking for splits like unpainted lures sell. I do believe they are #2, #3 SS rings from barlows, and the zinc plated ovals look like they could maybe be the #5s they carry. I tried emailing dudley(unpaintedlure.com)but never get responses.

  15. Im looking for rings in the 5mm-6mm area. mostly for bass baits like the ones dinger has. Also trying to find some decent oval splits but i do not understand the sizing
  16. Thanks ill look on barlows, but im not sure they ship to Canada. Anywhere else that sells them let me know
  17. I have been buying mine from captain hooks warehouse. #2's are 20 lb and bending out pretty bad on smaller fish. Wolf Wire is the brand. I'm on the search for something better
  18. do you used water base paints like createx?

The old river2sea vibe. I used to slay lake trout on those here in Canada, to bad they stopped making them. Also they were once only 3.29 USD each
