  1. i use the pressure for both small bubbles and for some castings having detail.
  2. I tried dropping the pressure down to 20 and leaving it in longer, it didn't help.i have contacted smooth-on cause that's also the resin that i use. They claim there's won't crush under pressure. I wanted to see what the TU crowd thought first before i waste anymore money on products that don't meet my needs.
  3. I'm having problem with microballoons that i baught from alumilite. Im using pressure with my casts, about 40 psi. When i make a cast with the new microballoons im getting 25% shrinkage. I didnt have this problem with my old microballoons, there was a small amount of shrinkage but i could live with it. So my question is does anybody now what brand of micro balloons wont crush under pressure?

  5. If your etex is staying soft or rubbery you're not mixing it right.
  6. So why should i get this stuff over envirotex lite, or i should say what makes it better? Just wondering cause it does have a higher price tag and etec is pretty darn clear as well.
  7. Here's a few simple ones. They look better on natural light, my phone doesn't take the greatest pics.
  8. I paint my own using cabachon, you can get them on etsy or ebay for a good price. Its more time consuming but ads a lot to the bait. I could post a pic if it applies to the thread.
  9. Direction doesn't matter, but speed does like posted above. You don't want to go to slow though. My old turner was 1.3 rpm and that was to slow as the epoxy would collect at the tail of the bait, my new one is 2.4 rpm and is much better.
  10. Spazstix ultimate mirror chrome. You have too have a gloss black base for it to have good results. You have too give it a wipe down to, gets rid of the over spray.
  11. I can't look at the magazine cause i don't have a working pc but i did check out a review on YouTube. It looks really good and i happen to even see one of my baits in there which i didn't even know about. Pretty cool.
  12. Does it look wavy before you cure it?
  13. Is it possible to put a scale pattern on this type of foil? They look great by the way.
  14. What do you have now? Can't go wrong with an iwata.
  15. Thanks guys, been eyeing that stuff up for awhile just wasn't sure if it was worth getting, but now i know I'll getting some soon.
  16. Mark and Ben what type restorer are you guys using?
  17. As fast as time in between coats of etex, i usually apply another coat anywhere from 6-12 hours. If you want to make it bullet proof i would look in to something besides wood.

10" long hand painted glass eyes. Haven't named the color yet.
  22. I've never thought of using pvc board, i may have too give it a try. I mostly use cedar and hate sealing it if i could eliminate that step that would be awesome. But to the posters concern i would keep the baits upwards of 8" unless your friend is fishing early spring.
