Newbie here. Need help figuring out how to keep color consistent between pours.
Pouring small batches. Pyrex cup in a microwave. Starting with 16ozs of plastic.
When I started I was throwing the spro back in the cup and remelting every other shot. The color degraded quickly and became very dull so I started throwing the spro in a separate cup and not remelting any of it so I was reheating a lot less and I got a very consistent color for as many baits as I could shoot for 16ozs. I liked the color so much I wanted to double the batch. Well, I've got all this already colored plastic, so I topped off the cup with new plastic and remelted the plastic from the 1st pour, I knew I would have to add some color and thought I had it pretty close but upon curing, what I came out with, was, I had 1 batch of great looking color and 1 batch of a much duller color.
So my question is, when do I get to use all this plastic from other pours and how do I get a consistent color if I do?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I think I'm getting addicted to plastic!
Thanks
