My replies have the Answer , The base coat one color and top coat seals the artwork . (the artwork is made with ink) These are hand dipped Rods used not injectable mlolds , but it can be done with mold. The blotches are different size flake, that jig has a base coat with one size glitter and the top coat with another size .

You Don't need one, Dip half the tube first then place them back in the mold and inject a lighter color to give it the laminate look. The lighter colors seals both colors eliminating pealing layers. *Just a tip. JGZee1

These are Crappie jigs , 1.5" long I hand dip them. Ive been Dipping Minijigs In California SInce 1985. Here is another sample of my work. Mark , on the previous photo what you see inside the plastic is flake to give the bait a little flash.

No injections at all , no burnt plastic, and definitely not luck. I make them by the thousands, can’t be luck everytime.
