    Let's spoon

My tribute to the old favorite spoon, but with my own touches. This has very subtle gold scaling and a darkened brow and back.

    craw, stone cold

Developed this pattern for rocky areas. the yellow is fluorescent yellow muted by a little pearl white. Just making it up as I go.
  6. This is a watermelon with red flake craw. It is a ghost, but the color can be deepened by additional layers. D2t on all these baits. but thinking hard on adding art resin to the arsenal. Any thoughts?

    LMB, Flu Uv

Been working with fluorescent colors in a more realistic application. This one is lit up by a pale single uv led key chain. Not sure if the regular lighting one was publish as well. These are my first uploads. I will follow up next.

    BG, natural

One of my first bluegill pattern. The slot bass won't leave it alone from april to july. Slot bass in nh are the bass on trophy managed ponds. any bass between 17 - 19 inches gets released. Only 1 over 20" can be kept so 17 and up are slot bass. Yeah, its's a blast!

    LMB Pvd

    first paint job

My first attempt at airbrushing. It was done about a year ago using a Badger 150 which I bought with compressor and paint $90. Hate to think what I have invested now!
  17. Another possibility is createx pearl copper.
  18. great post and comprehensive chart!
  19. Absolutely thru wire balsa lures. Balsa has no grip strength with small screws even if you superglue the hole. A simple hack saw blade glued to wood works for a jig. You need to add some weight to balsa anyway. Why not add some badly needed strength too.
  20. Try w lure model upl572. It sinks about 4 ft in three seconds. You can remove the belly hook and replace the tail hook with a #1 siwash. This blank is heavily built and swims level.
  21. Here is a $100 order that will cover a large range when mixed. Blick has all these. Createx colors: opaque white, black, yellow Transparent: canary yellow, Dk forest green, dk brown, gray Iridescent: yellow, green, red Pearl: copper, blue, white, satin gold (Just a quick misting spray of this across a bait looks amazing once clear coated) Fluorescent yellow Wicked colors: Detail sepia, Pearl black, Fluorescent sunburst. airbrush cleaner, restorer, w 500 nreducer Rustoleum 2x coverage silver and gold. These can be decanted into an airbrush by spraying them into a 3/4 inch tube which drains into the cup. laquer thinner.
  22. This is for anyone out there using superglue or cyanoacrylate glues. Be sure to use a booth or exhaust fan. This stuff heats up and fumes when used in any quantity at all. Maybe you have seen someone fume for fingerprints on TV. The fumes combine with organic fluids in the print and turn them into a hard crystal. Now imagine that process happening in your lungs. I dosed myself pretty good once. It is not pretty.
  23. This was just what I was looking for. Thank you so much for the reply. I copied it to word and saved a link to the forum as well.
  24. Remember to wave the gun to spread the heat around. If you heat things up too much the lure blank will warp.
  25. Great to get advice from the pros. I might consider using a different glue - perhaps one that is NOT solvent based. Priceless!
