    BTS Molds

I finally received my orders from BTS! After posting in this thread I was contacted by someone working for BTS and they not only took care of my two old orders they also included at no cost a tail mold I once asked Bob about that wasn’t previously available. I have to say I really appreciate them going above and beyond to make up for the aggravation I went through. Might be a good time to get in touch with them if you still have an outstanding order.

    BTS Molds

Glad you got them, I really am. My situation was exactly identical except that I never got the molds after finally reaching him. I decided to give up, he wins.
  3. I usually heat in the pot then use microwave to add more until i change colors. I have the mini and takes about 45 - 55 min to get to shooting temp from cold. You can do it in about 20 minutes by transferring from micro though keep in mind it’s the mini. The full size SS will still take while to fill using the microwave. I also usually have a lot to do while I wait so there’s no sitting and watching temps rise lol.
  4. Vacuformed treys are the way to go. Load your baits and slide them in all at once. Perfectly packaged every time.
  5. Still waiting even after another email saying mine would ship a few weeks ago. It's looking like I will never get what I paid for. One order was placed in 2016!
  6. Leonard is the Baitjunky's degassed?
  7. I finally got an email from Bob today! He said my orders from 2016 and 2017 will ship in next couple weeks. Of course he said that 6 months ago too so we'll see lol. I'll let y'all know.
  8. Another thing to consider is that there are a lot of great colors that only look good when they blend some. I personally think it looks more natural than a distinct split line but that's just me. Laminate plates are more of a pita too, doubles your time really, but you can save all the left over sprues for re melting. It's give and take I guess. But I couldn't imagine not having a dual injector in my shop.
  9. Unless something has changed recently, Ultra Molds' dual injectors only work with their Shooting Star pots. If you're using presto pots or microwaving in Pyrex cups you will certainly need the type of injectors that Bass Tackle sells. They have the best dual and triple injectors available anyway. The best part is they disassemble easily and can be used as single injectors. Comes with blending block too so there's nothing left to buy!
  10. Thanks for sharing that info, very helpful. I figure the guy has to eat and pay the bills so I'm sure he's doing what business he can to stay afloat. He just needs to take care of past orders first imo. I ordered 4 small molds back in Nov 2016. I would think he could practically do them in his sleep.
  11. So let me get this right. When someone asks if there are still issues ordering from BTS, that's ok with you. But if I tell them yes there are still issues, you apparently see that as bashing and not helpful? What's not helpful is you attacking me every time I try to be helpful.
  12. BTS seems to be open but he still owes me 4 molds I paid for over a year ago. I send him an email from time to time. I got one reply over that period asking what my order numbers were. That was months ago. Now that Ive said that, watch how quickly this thread gets removed from the one place it holds value.
  13. I'm still waiting on molds ordered last November. He finally contacted me via email around June and said they would be done soon lol..... still waiting.
  14. I know the mods here don't like this topic but Bob's Tackle Shack is opening shop in September according to the website, and they are shipping back orders they owe. This is great news for some of us!
  15. Why would you need to do that? Just make them and call it what ever you want. As long as you don't call it a senko it perfectly legal. It's just a stick worm anyway.
  16. Ok I looked at these and remember them. Not what I'd call a boot tail. To me that Kietech bait is a paddle tail and probably why it performs well. Maybe I'm wrong but I always thought a boot tail is square?
  17. Cool I'll have to check those out, they would def be the first I've eeen that perform well at slow and fast speeds. I've always stayed away from them for that reason. Some don't even swim at all, they just flop around.
  18. If all else fails you'll probably need to redesign the tail all together. I never liked the boot tail for real like action. Seems it was only created to solve molding issues.
  19. Looks exactly like the ones that come in the little Zebco kits when you buy a little 33classic. I have a dozen of them laying around. It's no-name Chinese junk, made for pan fish.... but they work lol.

  22. Mine was doing this when I first got the SS. It was an air pocket issue. Tightened the brass collar on the valve. No more air sucking in. You could have a completely different problem. That's why I suggested you contact Rupert.
  23. Temps won't cause that. I've never shot laminates under 320 and mine are perfect. It looks like you have air drawing into one side of the injector causing that side to shoot "intermittent" so to speak, allowing the other color to intrude the voids. Could be air coming in at the valve, could also be pulling air from behind the valve. I'd contact Rupert and tell them what's happening.
