  1. G'day guys, Here's part one of my jerkbait making project. This one is going overseas to Australia. Enjoy!
  2. Hand crafted lures are getting more and more attention nowadays. People are willing to spend the big bucks! Just look at Roman Made, Moutoukenmaru and Ginei Custom lures. They all cost a small fortune but they're always sold out within an hour of hitting the shelves. One more high-end hand crafted lure brand to be added to that list soon!
  3. G'day guys, I finished up my foiling job on a big GT stickbait for a friend of mine. I filmed everything and explained everything in detail and even managed to get a pool test in there as well. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
  4. Thanks! I agree, I make them for a fella who sells them to private collectors. He will however go public soon because the public has caught a whiff and it seems to be catching on. Too expensive for me but I get to keep a couple of unpainted bodies.
  5. Here's one of the custom paint jobs I've done on one of the popper bodies I received. They're not available to the public yet, perhaps in the near future.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11phQVcdoo8
  6. I was asked to do some custom work on a GT popper blank by my good friend from Japan, he is starting up his own GT lure brand. Here's a video of me testing and painting the popper. Enjoy!
  7. All the detail is carved in with an X-acto knife, the dremel is a bit too bulky to get good detail in unless you have some sort of a sharp engraving bit in there.
  8. G'day guys, I just finished up my bent stickbait experiment. I had never made one but was keen to try it out. It swims quite well so I'm very pleased. Here are the two videos covering the project.
  9. G'day Guys, I just finally finished up my swimbait project. I filmed every step as per usual so I figured this would be the best place to share it. A fair bit of time went into it but I'm very happy with the result. Hope you guys enjoy!
  10. Hi Guys,I just finished a new project of mine. I've been working on my own custom built Whopper Plopper and I'm very happy with the result. I did record the building process so I figured I'd share the video with y'all. Hope you guys enjoy!
  11. Hi David, awesome looking lures! The wood that I used is called Paulownia wood. It's very hard to come by. I don't think the type of wood was an issue here, but I have some leftover scraps from when I was making stickbaits. Pauwlonia is slightly denser than balsa, but much stronger and easier to work with. I've just started a new topic. The crankbait in the video has already been retired as it caught a nice muskie on the first time of using it! It was my first muskie ever and it was caught from the shore as well. A capture to never forget. Keep up the good work!
  12. I made a topic before about making my own crankbait for bass. Well I recently went onto a trip to Minnesota. I got the opportunity to target muskie (from shore unfortunately) for the first time. On the first evening I managed to catch a beautiful Muskie on the crankbait that I had made in a previous video. The trip was made then and there! I'm still very excited about the capture. Here is the video that detail the muskie capture and beneath the video about making the crankbait in question.
  13. Thanks for the tip Dale, will definitely keep an eye out for it!
  14. Hi Guys, I recently tried my hands on making a crankbait with foil scales on it, I'm extremely happy with the result. Let me know what you think. I'd love to know if anyone else uses silver foil/tape as well and what technique they use.
  15. Thanks Thanks! That helps a lot. I will be looking around a bit more. I hope a simple silicone mold is easy to make...
  16. Hi Guys, I recently finished of my first stickbait project. It was aimed at making a wire-through stickbait for GT, Tuna etc. It turned out well and I did make a video, but I am looking for some information about creating a mold for this particular lure so that I can replicate it with with some two component plastic mix or something along those lines. Please let me know your thoughts. Any information about mold making is welcome since I have ZERO experience with it. I'm also looking for an affordable two component plastic mix that floats when dry. Here's a video of the Stickbait so you can get an idea of the size in case that is a determining factor. Thanks!
