  1. I have lam plates for several of my molds and they are tedious. I broke down last night and ordered the twin injector. Be sure to go and check out the video on their site if you are seriously considering it. It cleared up my questions and pushed me over the edge to order it. http://www.basstackle.com/TWINJECTOR_p/twinjector.htm
  2. Basstackle 720 & 720 Jr. The 2 on the left are watermelon seed and the one on the right is a laminate watermelon seed / chartreuse
  3. Basstackle 720 & 720 Jr. The 2 on the left are watermelon seed and the one on the right is a laminate watermelon seed / chartreuse
  4. I ordered 30 Nov and it arrived 30 Dec at PO. i would assume you would need to sign. When you try to contact him for tracking info use support@baitmold.com
  5. P.O. has it but never bothered to let me know it was there. It requires signature so they wont deliver it.
  6. Back on topic. I emailed him last night and he got me a tracking number today. Looks like my package has been sitting at the post office since 30 December. Trying to get a hold of the post office now to see what’s going on.
  7. I agree and I buy American as much as possible. I have 2 do-it ES molds and will prolly order 2-3 more. I have 2 basstackle molds with 2 more on order plus I have a Jacobs machine mold. The problems though are: 1) Two of the top mold suppliers are either unreachable (BTS) or went out of buisness (Bears) 2. a couple of the companies in the sticky "list of lure mold companies" dont sell to the hobbyist . 3)The other companies dont have the designs I want or 4) they are to expensive to afford. Take the helgramite for example, in the U.S. the going price is around $80 but an artificial stone version is $10. The trade off is you have to wait longer to get the mold. On a side note if anyone knows of a mold simular to the BTS 505 creature mold, please let me know.
  8. Thats why a lot of people order from them because patent laws dont apply overseas. If you look in the desription it will tell you what bait they used as a prototype. They are not exact copies but very close. They do have some of there own designs but most people are attracted to the clones.
  9. I ordered from them on 30 Nov. i recieved order confirmation but no shipping notification. My bank statement was charged about 98 cents more than was on the invoice i assume because the exchange rate. I still have not recieved mine but research done prior to ordering suggested 6-12 weeks so I expected a wait. Sorry not much help to you. I can only comment from what others have said and where i am in the process. I can update when they arrive. Good luck to you
  10. Not sure what size you are looking for. Jacobs make a 2" crappie lure that might be what you are looking for. this is the only mold of that style I have seen. If you are looking for a large saltwater style lure I am of no help at all. http://stores.jacobsbaits.com/stinger-shark-2-10-cavity-mold/
  11. Since BTS seams unreliable I was looking for a 702 substitute. I emailed basstackle.com about there 736 and there 720 Jr mold. I will post a copy of the email below but basically the 720 and Jr are more similar to the BTS 702 claw wise. However, the 720 is a square body which I personally like better anyway. You have to look closely at the 736 pic on their site to see what she is talking about but one pincer is flat on top/raised on bottom and the other pincer raised on top/flat on bottom to produce what they called a "paddling action." I ordered the 720, 720 Jr and lam plate. When I get some done up I will post a pic in the gallery section. Hope this helps someone out. Hi John! the 702 was designed by Robert Jones at BTSMOLDS. A few years ago we carried his designs. We no longer do. the 736 is similar in shape, but the craws are unique. the craw tips rotate inward on one side and outward on the other. it was designed this way to create more of a paddling action. the 720jr is a smaller version of our 720 the 720/720jr have claws more similar to the 702. I hope this helps! thankyou! sarah -----Original Message----- From: "john williams" Sent: Monday, January 22, 2018 10:04am To: "sarah@basstackle.com" Subject: A couple question I found an archive of an old mold you used to make called the 702. I noticed you dont make it anymore but it is real similar to your 736. how do these two molds compare to each other? Also, how does it compare to the 720 Jr. Thanks- John
  12. Last Friday I decided to take the plunge and order one of those molds to see if he was still in business. They’re only pay option was PayPal and I don’t have an account. I sent an email requesting other payment options and they still have not responded. I am thinking instead of trying the basstackle 736 crawl. It looks similar to the Bob’s tackle. 702.
  13. Silverfish from jacobs molds. The back is motoroil and the belly is orange with red flake.
  14. 6" worm that extends to about 7.5" in water (according to basstackle website). poured with green pumpkin red glitter regrinds from ozark tackle.
  15. Dual cavity with 2 mandrels. Poured in green pumpkin/ red glitter regrinds from ozark tackle. I dip in salt after removing to prevent the skirt from sticking to itself. I also pour salt inside the tube for the same reason.
  16. This is encouraging because he has the mold i was wanting. However, since my emails to him I have order 7 new molds. Need to start budgeting for one of these BTS molds i guess.
  17. I sent an email 2-3 months ago and never got a reply. Not worth the risk if you ask me.
  18. I did a quick google search to see what the slab buster looked like. I think jacobs molds might have one that is close. They have it in 1.5", 2" and 3". Take a look at this and see if its what you want; http://stores.jacobsbaits.com/crappie-slayer-2-10-cavity-mold/
  19. Yes the OP was looking for re-grinds. I also have a gallon of the baitjunkys new plastisol and all of your scents. I will admit that I like the ideal of regrinds because the color and glitter are already taken care of. I am still extremely new to shooting plastic and that eliminates one variable for me. essentially regrinds are the same price shipped as your new.
  20. Just a quick shout out to ozarktackle.com, I ordered 15 lbs of regrinds on Tues around 11:15 eastern time and they arrived here in Ohio today via USPS. Everything seems good with the plastic but wont get to try it for a few days. On their "info" page it says to e-mail for shipping quote but no need to as they do have a shipping calculator on their checkout page. shipping was 18.11 and total cost for 15 lbs was $60.11 but I did order some from their clearance page. Only minor complaint is that they did not send a shipping notification or tracking info.
  21. I am hoping to use it on a drop shot for smallies and on a 1/32 jighead for crappie. Any thoughts?
  22. Jacobs bait mold. 10 cavity "2.25 Silver Fish".
