  1. I've only tried it on the 1.5's. I'll experiment with the 2.5 square bill and see what happens. Now that you mention it, I bet it is harder to slid on around the front edges of the bill. Might have to shrink it on there and then split it all the way down the middle.
  2. I haven't had and paint seepage, but I did have to kind of trial & error some until I got it trimmed perfect. Once I did that its been great.
  3. On this particular bait I used 3/4". Just used whatever is closest in size to the lip.
  4. Thanks, it is definitely an addiction I didn't see coming.
  5. Hello everyone, I have been following the forum and learning from everyone. I decided I'd wait to join until I had something to contribute, so here it is..... I got tired of dealing with masking tape on the lip of my airbrushed crankbaits, so I tried something and turns out it works great. I used heat shrink tubing from Harbour Freight. Slide it over the lip, heat it until it shrinks tight. Then trim it with an Xacto knife. Put a small slit where the eyelit is, and your done. It fits like a glove yet, slides right on and off so it's reusable after paint, and an added feature is the aligator clips don't damage the lip. ~Luke~
