  1. You find a solution besides Barlow’s?
  2. I’m having issues with rattles that are not always working properly with my mold. Collins tube rattle molds I’m pouring jigheads which calls for 5mm rattles. It’s not 5mm rattles apparently, it’s only one type of rattle which Barlow’s offers as “medium” size rattle. I’ve purchased identical rattles from other places which either don’t fit in the smaller weighted molds and that are also melting. The identical rattles from Barlow’s are also plastic and they rarely ever melt and they fit fine in all size cavity’s . This is becoming a frustrating, time/financial drain on my operation. Any advice?
  3. Ha! Nice, how do you cut those jerk tubes?
  4. Exactly. Cool stuff man, how long you been making baits?
  5. Not sure what the issue was but I say give it a second go and I bet it works
  6. Not sure why. It should be sticking regardless of the temp of the existing tube. The only way it wouldn’t stick is if the plastic isn’t hot enough. It would be lumpy though so you’d know. Try it again and possibly use a softener for the outer layer and one dip so you don’t get a thick variance on the tube diameter. It’s all about tubage
  7. That’s a tough thing your after. You’re going to have to get creative but simplest thing you could do is get a Pyrex measuring cup deep enough to dip and heat the plastic in the microwave. If you use a hot plate go slow. Keeping the plastic at good temp for dipping is the most difficult part. If you only wanna dip 20 tubes at a time, you should be ok with Pyrex and microwave. Buy a mold to use up the excess Plastisol. There are tube molds
  8. You could try shooting the first color and then take the tube out of the mold, keep it on the rod and dip the part that you want the second color

Well let me know if you want to get rid of the 6 qt. I might be interested

Mines a 20qt. It’s huge. 14” diameter. Definitely more suitable for a larger scale but I got it from Craigslist for a decent price. What’s the sizes you have?

Exactly that. Hold plastic at temp with minimal effort for dipping. Do they do a good job for you? You considering selling one or the other?

I just scored a riteheat. Im new to soft plastics. Any advice or recommendations on using the thing would be great.
  14. Is there such a thing as a conversion weight from the time Plastisol is room temp liquid, never used till the final soft plastic product? i.e. a gallons weight= X cured Baits= Y Is X and Y the same or conversion? Obviously hardner, and other products added will change the weight but straight product is the terms I speak of.
