  1. I am new to making lures. I thought I had it figured out but something is wrong with the cure strength of Aluma UV. First I dipped the lure and waited until it stopped dripping then used a 365 NM black light but it only put out 7 watts. While the lures seemed hard the bass chewed them up where the paint and Aluma UV was coming off the lure. Then I bought a Somesino Curing Lamp 365nm 300W off Amazon and thought my worries were over but was wrong. The Aluma website says with the 300w black light it should only take 3-5 seconds to cure. To be honest after 10 seconds it does feel pretty hard. On several lures I let the UV hit them for 20 minutes to make sure. When I went fishing yesterday I noticed some chipping and paint coming off. I only caught 3 small bass and one crappie. If you use Aluma UV any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!
