Really do not know anything about pouring plastic baits, but reading your post my first thought was put a little acetone in your measuring cup. Will that cut the plastic so you can save the cup? Just a thought, sorry but can't help with your pouring problem. Arne.

Not a wood expert, but believe the light stuff is sap wood and the dark stuff is heartwood. If it was me would only use the heartwood. Arne.

Is that jig supposed to be fished vertically? Otherwise looks like it might hang up with weeds pretty bad. Just wondering. Arne

I painted some blade baits with acrylic. Then dipped them in clear powder paint. Don't know how thick it is for sure but didn't seen to me that it added much at all. Did not fill the line tie holes or the hook holes. Arne.

Brownells handles a release agent used in glass bedding rifles. It is a liquidand you paint it on. It can be used in placed of the waxed paper if the paper is too thick. Arne.

Looks like if you extend the loop out the right side insead of the left and y ou should be golden. Arne.

Thanks for your service. Hope you are on the way to finding the colors you want. I can't be of much help as only lures I have poured were probably 40 yrs ago and don't even know what I did to pour them. saw the mold a while back tho. Arne.

Yep, came from a hobby store. Got a catalog from LPO today. They have them listed there and bet they are a lot heavier. Will get the ones I have used up then order some of the heavier ones. Arne.

Using the jump rings to make life easier. The ones I bought were pretty weak. Now using them, really easy to put on. But to make the job last longer, add a drop of solder on the split. Takes a little longer, but not as frustrating as split rings. Arne.

@cadman Where did you find the stiffer jump rings. Bought some, but they are pretty weak. Will have to wait til it gets warmer to try them out, but am afraid they will open up too easy. Arne.
