On the skirt umbrellas that looks like you would run 1 or 2 skirts through a regular skirt collar then slip that skirt collar over the umbrella collar push it forward for the flare. im sure they make some kind of tool for this.

You can tie these skirts on spinnerbaits buzzbaits and blade baits and all types of jig heads

If you have questions feel free to ask.

Umbrella skirt topic is up

Each step 1. Thread scissors razor blade. 2. Thread scissors jig head silicone skirt material. 3 Arkie jig head weed guard in place with thread tied on collar and silicone skirts used. 4. Closed end skirt material. 5. First layer of material black rolled around collar two wraps with thread pull tight. 6. Add second layer to bottom black roll around two wrap with thread pull tight. Remember when building the umbrella style skirts always tie your main color in first. And add your accent colors next. So when you flip it over your skirt material will blend together. 7. Add second color or accent color As step 5&6 again 2 wraps each layer pull tight the three half hitch knots pull tight trim thread away. 8. Take razor blade and trim away from thread around collar until tabs are removed. 9. Finished look. 10. Flip over and trim bottom of skirt Your done.

Tie in your main color silicone tab you want to show first. I like folding my second tab layer in when tying it adds more flare and fullness to the skirt. All skirts tabs are tied forward so as you flip the lure over it flares if Your tying accent color in start the accent first main second and shaded colors third. Wrap about 5 wrap the half hitch knots your finished. Trim the skirts then go fishing. I also build on the water also I have a special tackle with everything in it to tie. All lure components skirting material accent colors for jig heads bladed jigs spinnerbaits buzzbaits

Ive been tying this way ever since silicone skirting material was introduced to the public. I even tied the same skirts pattern in flat rubber when living rubber was still around. I still tie them in round rubber now. I still tie the conventional way also. I tie several different skirt patterns. I never use glue to secure the knot when I tie. I wrap and run thread through loop knot then three half hitch knots no slipping skirts the failure rate is 0 for me.1q
