  1. We package them in 3x3 and 3x4 bags with a couple drips of worm oil. We do not add salt to the baits. We have not sold any of the baits made using this 5 gallon of plastisol and we will not. We emailed baitplastics and are currently talking with them for a possible solution. We have never had an issue with any other baitplastics plastisol so we are thinking this is a bad batch. We have also talked personally with MF several weeks ago. Just like others have confirmed on this forum, they are currently moving and plan to be running at 75% by Christmas. MF product is by far the best we have used and we hope it continues to be so after the move or what I would call more of a "split" I do not want to make comments said during our conversation public in respect to their privacy but I do believe things will smooth out after the move. I do agree a more informative message should be on the site but that's my opinion, at least their is something there. Thank you all for the help!
  2. Here are some pictures for reference. We didn't spend the extra time to get the micro bubbles out since these are just test baits. Pic#1 is after 48hrs of hang curing with baitplastics where it gets the matte dull finish Pic#2 is immediately after shooting with baitplastics where they look amazing before curing. Pic#3 is 48hr cure baitplastics with deadon black color and blue Flake Pic#4 is 48hr cure with MF plastic We also throw the baits in a ice bath immediately after injection for 5 minutes then hang them to air cure for 48hrs. We are going to try and skip the ice bath to see if putting them in the ice bath is causing them to "flash" similar to what happens when you try to cure clear coat paint to fast without it having time to naturally cure.
  3. No additives just straight plastisol. We use molds from fatguysfishing, anglingai, and epicbaitmolds, and a few others. Our colors and flake are deadon. When I get home from work today I will post pictures.
  4. If you do not keep them perfectly straight and out of the sun or a compartment that gets overly hot they will deform and develop flat spots on whatever part the bag is touching. Like I mentioned earlier even my scraps and core shots fused together slightly and deformed very badly is a controlled 70-75 degree room. IMO the only way I can see these staying usable is either storing them in a cooler or having individual vacuum formed pocket trays shaped like the bait to keep them in your bags.
  5. Since MF is moving we went to baitplastics 342 ultra clear because our baits are all small panfish baits. They look amazing right out of the mold but We are having an issue with the baits curing into a dull finish with no shine. We heat it the same way we have done deadon and MF in the shooting star. We even tried a microwave with the same results. We mix it for several minutes with the 5 gallon mixer and a drill. Anyone have an idea what is going wrong? MF is by far the best product we have used and we have used just about everyone's because we wanted the best so we ran the tests and MF out performed them all. We just ordered some of the doit crystal clear in hopes that it will make due until MF is back up. Anyone had experience with doit?
  6. We invested a lot into the Flex X 200 hoping to use it as our primary plastic only to be disappointed. It is like ZMAN but it is still a plastisol and can be reheated. You have to use a presto pot or shooting star to heat it though and not a microwave. The cure time is longer and you have to roll them in salt or oil before you hand them or they will stick together while hanging "I'm talking about legs or other thin appendages that might be on your baits" the baits also seem to droop while curing and will stick to the core shot. They also become very oily after curing. It will stretch extremely far but will break eventually and it gets less durable with each full stretch. My end opinion is that the stuff is okay for personal use but not if you plan on selling. The heat tolerance is about half of what ZMan is and that is BAD. Also like with ZMan and Nikko you can not mix them with other baits. If they are not sitting perfectly in the package they will deform, even after curing properly. We let our test baits cure for 48hrs, packaged them, placed them in bubble mailers, and placed them in our mailbox for about 2hrs. Just in that short time they were already sticking together and they had flat spots starting from being in the packaging. Keep in mind this was with quite a bit of oil and salt like Bait Plastics recommended us do. So there is no way they would survive delivery across country and sitting in somebodies mailbox all day. After we tested though baits we took a lot at our core shots and scraps that we had laying in a tray. The scraps had all stuck together sitting on the tray, they had been there for about 24hrs at room temp which is 70 degrees. We really wanted to like this stuff and were extremely disappointed that it didn't work out. The only way we can think that might remotely even get close to helping these baits survive delivery truck heat and sitting in a mailbox is if you have custom made vacuum formed trays with single cavities for each bait to sit in.
  7. We are a small family owned bait company out of Tennessee. We specialize in "Creek Finesse" baits for fishing small waters for panfish, trout, shiners, chubs, etc.
