  1. I couldn't care less about that guys business. I just laid out some cold hard facts about the current market conditions.
  2. I think the world will still keep turning without Mr. Curt being on here.
  3. Kent, I hate to tell you this, but you choose a bad business to get into now. The market is flooded with competition, both from domestic and foreign mold makers, aluminum prices are on the rise and over all demand for molds is way down from where it was even 2 years ago. I've been in this business for over 20 years and I have never seen it as bad as it now. I wish you good luck and I would like to suggest that you have a back up line of work to fall on to pay your bills.
  4. When did TU become an advertising forum? I thought this forum was about DIY bait making. Years ago posters were banned for advertising here. I visit to learn and share info, not to see an advertisement about a companies attempt at selling an unwanted product to me.
  5. I would buy some of those molds if the price was right.
  6. I believe that's a different company than the one I was thinking of. The other lakeside molds was in Texas.
  7. Would it be safe to say that Bass Tackle and Bobs Tackle Shack predate the other current hand injected mold makers? I can not think of any others that have stood the test of time. Its got to be a tough business to be in.
  8. What caused the shut down of many mold makers? Here is a list that I can think of; Bears Baits, Caney Creek molds, Delmart Molds, Lakeside molds, High Rock Molds, Bait Junkies
  9. Am I'm I a consummate professional with 25+ years experience? Yes.. I have 58+ years of experience. I couldn't care less about your tender little feelings. I shared my knowledge of solving the denting problems of some molds. Take it or leave it....
  10. I'm someone wasting time sharing my personal experience on how to inject molds with denting problems. The question was asked and I shared what I found to work the best. (Increase the injection pressure time and the denting is eliminated.)
  11. I didn't ask a question. I just shared info for what I've found to be the best way to avoid denting on some molds. Every mold injects differently. Some molds are more problematic than others for denting. It depends on the cavity shape and layout of the mold. You have to force more hot plastic into the cavities as the plastic cools and shrinks in the cavities. Watch the plastic in the injection port and runner of the mold after its injected and you can see the plastic shrink as it cools.
  12. "Let us be unburdened by what has been" These are the words of a true American genius
  13. 360 degrees is too hot for light colors. It will turn yellowish quickly even with added heat stabilizer. I inject everything at 335-340 degrees. A pneumatic injector is for production use. Hobbyist are not a good source of reliable information.
  14. Applying injection pressure for a longer period of time is the best way I have found to avoid denting on most molds. It sucks but it pushes more hot plastic into the mold as the plastisol cools and shrinks in the cavities. I have several molds that take 1-2 minutes of constant pressure to avoid denting. A pneumatic injector is ideal for that situation.
  15. This is the only one that I'm aware of with that long of a lead time. Most good mold makers ship out in a few days.
  16. I'm not aware of other resellers. You could buy bulk direct from Calhouns.
  17. First impressions are lasting. I can't overcome the name and the bold face 3-4 business weeks lead time statement on the website. I can't imagine anyone would be happy with that wait time this day in age.
  18. I would be leery about ordering anything from a company with that name. Is it some kinda joke? The website says; Our current lead time is approx 3 - 4 business weeks
  19. Yeah, I knew you where full of sh--. You might want to try honesty next time.
  20. Why will your specific blend not work in a microwave or SS setups? Heat it up to inject, and cool it down is constant with all plastisol baits.
  21. Will you please post some pictures of your machine in operation? Where can I purchase your baits?
