Here are a few tools that can be used too make Balsa/wood baits. Interesting enough some tools are used in the model aircraft industry. Tools like this can cut balsa to an accurate measurement and there is a planer if needed. http://www.nationalbalsa.com/product_p/bls.htm They also have blocks of wood. http://www.nationalbalsa.com/Balsa_blocks_s/216.htm Basically the model aircraft suppliers have things that can be used for hard Bait making.

I am starting my first attempt making a balsa wood bait. I don’t have any airbrush equipment and plan to just paint it with white acrylic. I have a rotisserie motor which I can use to turn the bait to help make an even application. Here is my question, what should I seal the balsa wood with before applying the acrylic?
