    Dubbing

Ok, don't laugh! I have a kinda kooky idea. Has anyone tried using lint from the dryer for dubbing?
  2. This is the new version of Hookers Hopper. I changed the back legs to foam (floats better) instead of barbs from a peacock wing feather. Besides better flotation, it definitely makes for an easier tie. I think it gives it a cleaner look too.

  3. I wanted a more realistic foam hopper so I created this..."Hookers Hopper". Materials are as follows; Hook... Tiemco 100 #10. Thread...tan Uni 8/0. Abdomen, thorax, & head...tan 2mm foam. Back legs...knotted barbs from a pea fowl wing quill (or sub). Dubbing...tan UV2 High & Dry (or sub). Hackle...brown rooster saddle hackle. Wing...scotch tape & lt ginger hen saddle feather. Shell for head & thorax...tan razor foam. Antenna...squirrel whiskers (or sub). Eyes...epoxy & marker. You can tie this in any color you like, such as chartreuse or orange. If you'd like more specific tying instructions, just let me know.

    Screaming Yellow Zonker

SCREAMING YELLOW ZONKER! Rabbit fur Fire Tiger dyed "zonker" strip, over yellow channel body & brown-black hackle, downturned. Tail from DNA Holo-Fusion & orange crystal flash fibers. #2 streamer hook with black & orange thread This is one of my own invented patterns, works great on largemouth and pickerel. The zonker fur has the most amazing action! I also make this pattern with more natural colors of maroon , black & white, all very productive.
